The farmhouse is run by a young Italian couple and has been carefully restored to offer a swimming pool and Tuscan restaurant serving traditional cuisine and a wide range of wines. The estate also contains a charming living room with a fireplace and 3 dining rooms furnished in a country style according to the owners’ creative tastes. Il Castellucio is a real gem in the middle of the countryside. We were blown away by the charm of the hotel and the scenery. The staff were amazing and so knowledgeable about the local beers, wine and spirits. The photos don’t do this place justice. We loved it so much we extended our stay by another night. It’s the perfect place to stay a night during a road trip. The breakfast was also fantastic!

Facilities are some of the best we have had in Italy. The Host is incredible and made our stay comfortable and homely. The location is 10 out of 10. We planned to arrive around 7pm and enjoy dinner on our first night in Italy. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until 1am. I had let them know and they assured me it was no problem and they sent easy to follow directions knowing it would be late and we would be tired. We were greeted warmly despite the late hour. The best morning we had the best breakfast of the trip in their lovely garden. The only regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy the beautiful grounds, rooms location, and especially the wonderful staff.

It's just so quiet and peaceful place to be. If you're looking to unplug yourself from the day-to-day madness you live in, this is the perfect place for you! The staff is super nice, they always have the need to give you whatever you need. I really loved the awareness for allergies even though neither me nor my family have one. The food was great, and again, everything was great. I can't wait to return.
