The hotel is situated in trees and greenery on the common within easy 10 min walking distance of the town centre. On site car parking on a first come first served basis, Very spacious well appointed room , separate comfortable seating area and excellent bathroom with a roll top bath and rain shower. We took Sunday lunch in the upstairs dining room , nice round table for two , very good service. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Not a complaint but a suggestion: The table knives in the restaurant could do with a sharper cutting edge, in particular for the generous and tasty portion of beef served for Sunday lunch .

Staff were exceptional we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived nothing was too much trouble the food was delicious we will definitely be staying again but for longer as we enjoyed it so much we arrived early that was not a problem we were allowed in our room which was very clean overall we woukd give a rating of 10+

Stayed in the 2bdrm apartment on the ground floor which has everything you need and is close to the town, promenade and beach, it's a great apartment and position. Also has its own parking at the back of the accommodation which is really handy.

It was difficult to obtain a 2nd set of keys for the apt which we needed - I think this should be available automatically. Also the couch in the lounge room was extremely uncomfortable and had some stains. Otherwise everything was excellent.

The room was dirty. The carpets were really old and in need of cleaning or at least hoovering. The TV Remote control was held together with tape and was truly disgusting, very dirty and I am sure had never been cleaned. The bathroom was clean and bright but the rest of the room the furniture was very tired and the chair in the room was stained. There was a kettle provided and coffee had been spilled up the wall and had not been cleaned. The restaurant was closed. Breakfast was from 7.30 included in the price paid. When i went down for breakfast at 7.30 there was nothing ready and the guy was on his own as someone had called in sick. I could not wait as I had to leave by 8am. Parking was available as long as pre booked at £12. But it was a parking space at the back in another street in front of some lock ups. The photo's online do not give the best representation of the property and whilst it is a very old building it is unkept.

Asked to be moved from original room as to cramped, no wardrobe for clothes and beams in room were a hazard. The alternate room was better, but still had issues with it. The room/shower area looked tired and in need of attention.
