Just had a wonderful 4day stay at the Beaumont Guest House Windermere, Very efficient and friendly service made for an enjoyable stay.We will certainly recommend to our friends looking for a stay in the Lakes. All local amenities and transport services ideally situated making it very worthy of a 5 star accomodation.

I liked that I was able to find a cheap place to stay at a great location in London city centre. The pub downstairs was also nice and so were the beds. I think for the price you pay you just can’t expect much and that showed. Therefore, I’m not complaining as I had a place to stay but it wasn’t all that fabulous

I didn’t like that I shared a room with one older guy as a young female alone. I’d rather have shared a bedroom with more people as I felt vulnerable in my situation. The bathrooms were quite uncomfortable as well, with no place to hang your clothes/towels in the cabin while you shower. All my stuff got wet and since the bathrooms are shared with both male and female I didn’t feel comfortable leaving part of my stuff outside the cabin. The bathroom floors are constantly wet which makes it seem dirty and the toilets weren’t very clean either.

Television channels kept breaking up. The cooked breakfast was terrible didn't eat most of it as the only thing that was warm was Hash browns. Coffee barely warm would not eat here again.

The checkin process wasn't clear at all, i got to the building and ended up having to call the number provided with the booking, only to find i had to go to a local hotel to get the key, this should be made clearer at the time of booking as it wasnt. Also while the rooms were clean and tidy and well presented there was a black screwhole in the wall next to the bed where the plaster had come off, not only that but the bed its self was quite hard, presented well yes, but not very comfortable, due to all of the above i dont foresee myself staying there again, while it is 10 to 20 pounds cheaper than a hotel, the extra 10 or 20 pounds for a hotel would be worth it for less hassle. I also asked for a taxi to be booked for the morning to take me where i needed to go, but i got to the hotel and the booking wasn't made, the manager was kind enough to give me a lift in his car, but the taxi booking and confirmation could be better also.
