We were offered a free upgrade on our room, which made us feel very welcome. The location was excellent and having kitchen facilities was helpful for keeping food and eating on site. The bathroom was really well-equipped with towels and toiletries. The staff were always available and friendly.

It would have been great to have a coffee machine in the kitchen as there was always a queue for the machine in the entrance.

Room was very comfortable. Bathroom well appointed. Location was lovely just out of Alness. Breakfast was really excellent- lots of choice and great quality produce served in lovely crockery. Leila and David were great hosts, very chatty and provided lots of helpful advice for our NC500 trip.

It was fresh, modern. A bit different to the usual. Nice blend of tradition and hi tech. The steam room was amazing. Luxury to have underfloor heating upstairs!

The oven could do with a good clean. The racks were very grimy. More substantial logs would be appreciated. The fire lasted around 30mins. Good job we weren't relying on it for warmth!

A bit awkward unloading luggage on street as there is very limited spaces and you only get 40 mins before you have to move car to carpark up the hill. Accessing the bedroom in the attic was a bit dangerous as the ceiling is very low, could do with a warning sign. A bit shabby inside. Could do with a deep clean.
