Self contained and all the basics available- tea, coffee, milk, toiletries all very much appreciated. The apartment was super clean, cosy and so very well presented. Excellent facilities, comfortable bed, amazing bathroom, quiet and private.

Good location for walking the John Muir Way, and close to Linlithgow Loch. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was excellent, as was the cooked breakfast. Great toiletries. Happy to accept baggage transfer.

The bathroom window was clear and overlooked the street, so we had to keep the blind down. The room was a little tired - heater hanging off the wall, and the curtain partly detached from its rail. Breakfast was from 7.30 am but they were clearly not ready then.

Lift out of order, we requested ground floor rooms and were allocated top floor rooms, up seven flights of stairs. Rooms non refundable, maintenance work being done on the roof which we were not told about when booking, scaffolding blocking view. Staff incredibly rude when we tried to go for dinner on the first evening which put us off.

Big radiator for the size of the small room. Worse of all, the radiator was on throughout from the moment I checked in at 8pm till I left in the morning. I couldn't turn it off in the room. The knob wasn't controlling it. The window can only open to as much as the size of your fit. I will leave you to imagine what it was like in that room.
