We opted to pay for breakfast the morning after our stay. We explained clearly that we had not yet paid and gave our room number etc. Having been seated we were asked if we would like tea/ coffee. Our order was then forgotten and we had to ask again 10 minutes later. Having plated breakfast I then sat down to eat. I then was approached by a staff member quizzing me on how I was to pay for the breakfast. This was in front of other customers. I believe the confusion was due to us booking via booking.com as there was no deposit as the room was paid in full before arrival. Having been given two options of how to pay and feeling embarrassed in front of other customers I said I would pay at the front desk (I had presumed this would be part of the checkout process anyway). Having spoken to me the member of staff returned to her colleagues and explained she had "dealt with the gentleman" (said in front of my wife without her realising). Upon checkout I was asked once more about paying for the breakfast (I did this an hour previous so as not to be arrested on the spot as a breakfast thief). This could have been dealt with much better. Especially as it was £33 for two breakfasts.

We booked a table for dinner, and upon arrival we ordered just two main courses, after one and a half hours, we asked the staff where our food was, and was told that all food was prepared to order and took a little longer. But everybody else seemed to be on their desserts, we nearly left and went to Mcdonalds
