destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

  • Hatta Resorts

    - “Great location, comfy and stylish accommodation, great facilities. We really appreciated the terrace with the bean bag bed for chilling out in the evening (night sky above your head) and the chairs and table for the breakfast that we ordered at the reception, and which got delivered to the door step. The lodge is top notch, with a proper fridge incl. freezer, a sympathetic shower and bathroom considering the total area of the lodge. It's unbelievable that everything fit in and is really good quality. Oh, and did I mention the comfy bed?”

  • Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, an IHG Hotel

    - “I really like that the room service is 24/7. The food was fantastic and very fast to arrive. The parking was easy, staff were lovely, rooms were sensational. Bedding very comfortable and the bath tub was perfect.”

  • James Bay Inn Hotel, Suites & Cottage

    - “Excellent cosy and comfortable hotel that felt more like a home and in a very pretty area, only a few blocks walking distance to downtown Very reasonably priced for such a handy location Large room was warm but also able to open windows. Loved the little touches like the coffee station in the foyer of a morning. Friendly, helpful, funny staff. Very clean & rooms smelt lovely. We had a dinner and breakfast at the restaurants on the premises and both were exceptionally well priced & delicious”

  • Kloster Malgarten

    - “It’s simply amazing! Such an old building with a soul, restored and redecorated in the original style. The heart of the owner and his persistence created a one of a kind place. I felt welcome and could relax and de-stress and I lingered for hours not wanting to leave this place.”

  • FAV TOKYO Nishinippori

    - “Check in was easy, there’s a machine you just scan the QR given to you & scan your passports. Really friendly staffs!! Love our interactions & all very helpful with any questions we had. Room: We’re a small family of 3 (with a toddler) and decided we needed a bigger room + small kitchenette and this was the perfect solution for us! You’ve space for 1 large, 1 medium & 1 cabin size luggage comfortably. And a foldable stroller. Everybody gets their own bed (although the mattress is a bit hard for me but my husband loves stiff mattresses) The room is fully equipped, we could cook some easy breakfast in the room & microwave food. Amenities provided like cutleries, plates, knives, scissors, microwave and more! They even have a small portable vacuum which was awesome! Also love that the toilet is separated from the shower!! Connectivity: It’s a newly built & a modern hotel, right by several key train station lines to tourist attractions! It’s a few minutes walk to JR Nishinippori line which takes you directly to Shibuya, Ginza (through Yurakucho) Shinjuku & Harajuku. It’s also a few mins walk to Chiyoda Line which can easily take you directly to Tsukiji Station (the famous Tsukiji market) All you need is the Google Maps app and you’re ready to use the trains like a pro. Right by our hotel there’s a lift (for family using stroller or wheelchair) so it’s pretty accessible for everyone. Convenience: Right in-front of hotel there’s a Daily Yamazaki that is opened from 6:30am till 9:00pm so you can buy drinks/sandwiches. They can also do the Yamato Transport for your luggages if you need to send your luggage across Japan! (Send before 9:30am day before your arrival at new city so it arrives just as you are) Food is easily available around hotel: Ramen shops, Yoshinoya, McDonalds so you’ll never be hungry.”

  • Hotel Sint Nicolaas

    - “The beautiful, stylish decoration and furnishings, the lobby with comfortable seating and the location.”

  • Hotel Betmanowska Main Square Residence Adults Only

    - “Breakfast was plentiful you could order what you liked, and if you were feeling brave you could have a prosecco with breakfast, everything was amazing! So thoughtful in the room a bottle of prosecco was waiting for us, also some lovely large apples, and the last day they gave us a bottle of wine, also the mini fridge which was free of non alcohol drinks which was restocked every day.”

  • SENSI Azores Nature and SPA

    - “Our stay at SENSI Azores Nature and SPA was wonderful, despite the weather in early April! The rooms were a comfortable size and the private pool was heated (although a little cold for April). We enjoyed the indoor heated pool as well that wasn't super busy. The property was great, but the best part of this place was the staff. It was our first time traveling internationally with our 10 month old, and everyone, especially the dining staff were incredibly nice and accommodating.”

  • Menshicov Boutique Hotel

    - “hardworking kitchen lady’s delicious breakfasts, cleanliness, rooms, location,”

  • The Narathiwas Hotel & Residence Sathorn Bangkok

    - “Quiet close enough to where I needed to go”

  • Sultans Royal Hotel

    - “My stay at Sultan's Royal Hotel in Istanbul was nothing short of fantastic! The hotel's location is absolutely superb, with an array of restaurants and tourist attractions within easy walking distance. What truly made my stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality provided by the hotel staff, particularly Sonia. She went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was comfortable and memorable. Every morning, Sonia greeted me with a warm smile and her caring demeanor made me feel right at home. Her attention to detail, especially during breakfast, was impeccable. She consistently checked in to see if there was anything else I needed, making sure I started each day on the right note. Furthermore, I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were immaculate, and the entire property was well-maintained throughout my stay. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in ensuring a pristine environment for guests.”

  • Jockey Club Suites

    - “Amazing value. Perfect location. Absolutely clean.”

We had a nice view of the sunrise over the town and the bay by standing on tiptoe to look through the skylight (or crouching down to look through the small floor-level window). There were sweet sculpted 'hare' bedside lamps either side of the bed. The service was prompt and courteous when we arrived and the room was clean.

    • Negative section of review

The main problem was the lack of a working light in the ensuite, and (as we later discovered) no hot water from the shower! We assume this was an electrical problem, but that said, there were no instructions anywhere we could find as to how to use the shower. It seemed to much of a hassle to get dressed again and try and find someone who would probably have been busy in any case with things in the bar or kitchen etc. The stairs to/from the room were steep, cramped, twisting, bare and functional. In terms of 'hospitality', we seemed to have been provided with a basic, 'bare bones' service at a price that wasn't exactly cheap.

Self catering so no comments on food. The Studio was comfortable, big enough, well-equipped and conveniently located, with easy, reserved parking. The Studio’s best selling point is its decor and appearance internally.

Perhaps one or two larger mugs. Also, would have been nice to have something to play my CDs on (but I realise I’m an oldie and probably not many guests would want that, having the technology that I lack). So, nothing much, really.

Large room with vast bed, ensuite everything worked. Restaurant was ok but cost a bit higher & quite limited menu.

    • Negative section of review

RoomI had was 'upgrade' on top floor, a bit battered & window double glazing had failed so nice outlook was impaired. Whole place is a bit tired, could do with a lick of paint & a bit more. Not the besy value for money I have seen.

Room very cramped for 4 people just double with pull out bed pay extra for pull out bed for two extra people but don’t get extra space they were on top of each other, nothing to do in hotel very dead, could have given a cheap Easter egg to the handful of people waking up on Easter Sunday in it especially kids!!! Fresh fruit salad was just apple and orange whole not cut at all, less choice on Easter Sunday on our second night!! Beans look like they had been reheated a few times full Irish was good, pancakes good for kids chocolate sauce no Nutella !!! Food left out in hall all evening and still their next morning it smelt disgusting in hallway!! French rugby team were staying they looked like they were going to be getting royalty treatment separate section lots of condiments on the tables for them did they pay more ??? Definitely a hotel for early flight or business meeting not a family hotel at all luckily lots going on in retail outlets across the way and luckily we had our own transport to get into Belfast 27km away otherwise think I would have left after first night !!
