The house is so tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. Roula and Nick were very friendly and looked after us like family. They also arranged a taxi service for us. We met Poppi who was just delightful and helpful us to explore bit more of the island. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking to escape to a place that is far from the maddening crowd.”

Was a really cool vibe - would recommend exploring at night - this was at 11pm! Bed was comfy and the space was perfect to spent a night or two in as a stopover. Location and value for money are hard to beat. We were able to park our hire car directly outside the front of the hotel which was awesome. Staff were great and very helpful. We would stay here again.”

  The location - walk out of the door and you’re in the centre. Very own parking spot. So clean and there is literally everything you could possible need. You can tell the hosts really care and they have thought of everything to make your stay nice. Welcome pack in fridge including beers! Treats for the dog etc Bedrooms are so spacious and there is also a downstairs toilet. The place is modern but with a homely feel. We go away frequently with our dog and this is the best place we’ve stayed. Would highly recommend booking this cottage if you’re staying in Buxton you’ll not be disappointed.

  Location was central, clean, comfortable and plenty of parking on site. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower very good. Cost for two double rooms was very good.

  AC was blowing warm air and manhole on main road was making such a loud noise when vehicles drove over it I could not open the window and the room was very stuffy…… went to reception and was moved to new room at back of hotel with working AC…… Thank you. Bath too small for an adult to even sit in an straighten your legs…. Pointless

  The entrance was a bit awkward, with no signage for flat 6. Little awkward getting the case down the stairs but manageable. Flat was a delight however.

  First thing was, the parking was tight was I got out of the car ther was a strong smell of urine( and I know because I work on many doorways in town centres) Secondly the way into the hotel from the car park was in a very poor state . On entering the lift to take us to the reception I looked very shabby (more like a goods lift) one at reception we were welcomed by a young girl who took payment for our room straight away , she then asked for some ID and a bank card to scan incase we damaged the room . On entering our room I looked like it was still in the 70s , the laminate flooring was in a worse condition than the titanic , the wardrobes were chipped, the lampshades were fury, , the bath did look clean although we opted not to use it , just Incase , on walking around this hotel we notice a lot of the wallpaper was tattle , the padded doors were ripped the whole place needs a revamp in my opinion. Please not this is the first time I’ve complained about an hotel , we normally accept it for what it is , but we booked the shankly on recommendations , If you check your records we stayed the previous 2nights at the Yorkshire hotel for my wife’s birthday before heading to Liverpool, this hotel was 10 times better

  The location was on route. Evening meal was good as was the beer.

  Grossly overpriced for what was provided. The bathroom was very dirty and in need of total upgrade as was the bedroom. The room was very cold on arrival so couldn’t get a shower. Had to ask for the heating to be turned on and it was which was good. The breakfast wasn’t very good and the waitress wasn’t welcoming or friendly.
