Really lovely view from room, staff were lovely even got upgraded room on arrival which was great! Spa facilities were great with sauna, steam-room, indoor pool and amazing view from the outdoor jacuzzis. Breakfast was great, saw some complaints about having to pay extra for hot foot but thought there were loads of options for what was included in breakfast without hot food!! Saw loads of bad reviews but personally not sure why, we had a great stay - do not let it put you off.

We had a lovely view of the river and York Minster. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked and there was plenty of choice of hot and cold items. The location of the restaurant was very convenient for walking to attractions in the historic centre.

The cottage is surprisingly big. It comfortably accommodates a family of 4. Good range of kitchen equipment, TV and heating. Lovely view of the river. We'll situated on the south of the river so easy access to many towns and attractions.

Fold down bed wasn't the most comfortable we ended up taking the mattress off the bed and just sleeping on in on the floor, which was much more comfortable.

Everything. It’s cozy, clean, spacious and everything you need is there. The cost is also really good value for money. The log burner has to be the favourite part!

Well we liked it enough to return after our first visit but if we had to pick something we didn’t like it would be the driveway to the house as it’s quite bumpy but it’s not something that would stop us from returning!

There is parking available behind the hotel. The walk to the city centre is welcome after a long drive. Very friendly and helpful staff.
