Perfect location for St George's Hospital. A 5 minute walk to main entrance of the hospital. I had an early appointment in hospital so for ease, chose to check-in the night before. The room was small, but clean, modern. Tea/Coffee making facilities inside room but if you wanted a cappuccino, outside in reception was a small Costa facility where you pay. No breakfast facilities but lots of eateries within walking distance of hotel.

The exterior of the Pelican unfortunately looks like an old 1970's tower block of flats, which does not represent the interior of the hotel - modern & welcoming. Great view of the cemetery! :)

Fab location, comfortable bed and extremely good value for £50 in a central Birmingham location. For a low budget hotel, the bar and food options were fab. So for that reason, the value for money is fab! It's not posh and I wouldn't want to stay here for more than a night or 2, but for what it is - I'll definitely stay here next time I'm in Birmingham.

Bathroom was a bit grubby!

Room and bathroom very clean and serviced each day Breakfast coffee machine broken on all 3 mornings and only on one morning was an offer made to provide coffee from a machine in the kitchen otherwise only instant coffee on offer Saturday morning only one member of staff managing and serving - insufficient with the number of guests, which must be known in advance.

Fulfilled our needs. Not much car parking though

Room was super clean. Bed was really comfy and big - much bigger than Premier Inn beds - we likes that! Breakfast is free and staff were lovely. We also had a dog with us and although we paid an extra £25 which is a little too much IMHO, the rooms are big enough and there's plenty of space to eat with him. Showers were awesome too.

It's next to a building site at the moment and the road entrance is tight but no work at night and no real issues. Just be aware.
Positive section of review
The convenient location for walking to work, the street with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from where I could eat, and the professionalism and kindness of a guy at the reception desk who gave me several tips

I stayed for 11 days and noticed that the room was not cleaned often, I also suffer from asthma and allergic to dust and often could not sleep at night, the towels were not changed often. The cleanliness was not top knowing the hotel industry in London

A troubled tap in the bathroom, which couldn’t be turned off, made such a noise it ruined my sleep.

As expected. Small, central very comfortable. Unlocking the key safe difficult in wet windy weather.
