  The bed was extremely comfortable and large. The bathroom was beautifully finished and spacious with a double bath. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the leasure facilities were fantastic and open late which was great.

  The hotel was quiet, set in delightful grounds. It was very conveniently situated to access the Yorkshire Sculpture Park which had been our plan. The staff were friendly and efficient.

  The bed was huge but the mattress was too hard and the pillows not terribly comfortable. Dinner was ok but the menu limited and only available as a set price for 2 or 3 courses. Whilst the cooked breakfast was hot and freshly cooked, there were only tinned tomatoes on offer , very poor sliced brown toast, and the fruit salad on offer was tinned mandarins and grapefruit.

  Very convenient location and great room atmosphere.

  The fan in the bathroom's a bit too weak, so if you want to take long hot showers you need to make sure you don't leave the bathroom door open for too long otherwise, it could cause a fire alarm in your room just like what happened to us. All in all though it was spectacular!
