Nigel and Caroline looked after us well. My dietary needs were catered for, and the breakfast was excellent. Nigel was great telling us the history of Harrogate, where to eat, and places to go to during our stay. We would definitely return again and would recommend to our family and friends. :)

A fire alarm going off mistakenly at 7.00am on Sunday morning. these things happen but no-one from the hotel - either at breakfast or checkout apologised for what was a slightly ruinous moment on a weekend away hoping for a lie-in for once

Complications at the bar with our bill. We had meals both evenings in the restaurant. We joined 2 more guests to eat. When my steak pie arrived it hadn't seen an oven. If was ice cold. They took it away. Girl retired to ask me if I wanted another pie. I hadn't eaten any of the pie, only cut it up. Slightly embarrassing as I Sat while 3 were eating their meals.

Unfortunately the window was broken in room so It was very cold on the night. The staff wasn't welcoming and quite all over the place to check in. The chef for breakfast needs to be changed ASAP he wrote down our orders got them wrong and re asked n as we were eating he was walking up and down dining room talking to us and wouldn't leave us to eat in peace which absolutely ruined our morning as a family together. Whole time was at table eating he spoke! We made clear when ignore dhim we just want a quiet family breakfast but he would apce up and down laughing and taking to us we was very VERY uncomfortable mouth full of food asking question after question to us then stood right by our table watching us eat talking worst experience EVER he was very creepy indeed! Looked to me as if was on drugs! We heard him swearing and banging in the kitchen and I have young 4 year old it was diabolical!
