We stayed in the historical room 307. Perfect location! Everything was a short walk away. Beautiful lobby/bar area with a lovely outdoor seating area - it is very impressive walking in. Very comfortable, huge bed with good pillows in a quiet room. In other hotels, you can often hear everything going on in the next room/across the hall/doors slamming, etc. but we had no issues with that here, it was ideal. It was my boyfriends birthday and the hotel staff had left balloons, sweets, and a card for him (at no extra cost) which was so sweet and much appreciated. 12pm check out is generous. Good shower with very nice soap/shower gel. I will 100% stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

Room was smaller than expected, and could be cleaner - I noticed some dirt on the chair and sink. I would have liked bottled water and glass/ceramic cups in the room as opposed to the paper ones provided. No cooked breakfast, which is a shame as the downstairs area is beautiful and it would’ve been nice to have breakfast there. No on site parking - we used dean street which is a short 5 minute walk away. No wardrobe - clothes can be hung on a rail. While the downstairs area is very impressive, the rooms lacked the same ‘wow factor’ and felt a bit basic in comparison. However, while the room lacked in flair, it exceeded in comfort and quietness. None of these issues would stop me returning, as I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, if there were just some slight adjustments/more attention to detail, the room could be perfect and better reflect value for money.

As a solo traveller, just looking for a bed for the night, its location was good. The bed was comfortable and clean staff were friendly. I know some people want more, but you get what you pay for .I would be more than happy to stay again when travelling through.

The keys weren’t in the lock box, I called the number and it took a couple of attempts to get through, when I did it was sorted immediately and I stayed in the apartment next door.

The library where we could have a drink and breakfast was an unexpected bonus. Staff really friendly. Perfect location.

That the windows don’t open but that’s really all I can say. There is a fan provided

Friendly staff at reception. Common areas were decorated reasonably. Grounds were presented pretty well.

- The fitness centre is excellent, but you have to pay extra, even as a guest. Even for just pre 10am and post 5pm. What nonsense; and such a lost opportunity to engage any resident. - Pretty average service in the bars and restaurants. Soft drink choices were very average too. There is so much that they could have offered, but their range of choices was weak at best. - My room was not cleaned/made up on the second night. I was offered a discount, but only once I asked, which I had to do in person as the phone in my room was also broken. It turns out that daily room cleaning is by request, not a standard. Really? No information to explain this was evident; and the reception staff did not know this either. - My room was fine, but tired. - EV chargers did not all work and were used by people parking and not charging. Only 3 too.

Very nice looking hotel situated across from the river that can be seen from the window.

The pillows suppied were uncomfortable. They were solid, compressed down. I normally take my own pillow because this is a problem with many hotels.

Too ‘pubby’ and the member of staff who greeted us was rather off-hand. The breakfast area was chilly and not a very comfortable room .

Floor wasn’t clean and kichen floor had small houles in it. A window was difficult to shut and the used condom was on the window stain. No towel/towelpaper in the kichen. Washing mashine wasn’t emptied.
