The cottage is on 3 levels, and the stairs are steep, but if you are relatively mobile do not let that put you off

Staff are polite. Beds are comfy and shower is decent, warm and good pressure. The room was clean. Good location.

Place needs a lick of paint or a rub with soap and water. Building works going on downstairs but wasn’t overly noisy, unlike the cleaning staff that although polite you can hear them shouting to one another across the rooms and talking from about 8/9am which of you’re wanting to sleep in is not very restful. I’m sure with the renovations the reception will have a facelift instead of being used for laundry storage and the walls will have a lick of paint, but could do with some bottled water available or a vending machine.

Fell far short of what we would expect from a hilton Hotel. The air con was noisy and cold with no means to control it from the wall, indicated that an R/C was needed, there wasn't one. The breakfast was a bag with water, juice box and bagged muffin, etc.not what we had expected. The room was small with tired decor; would be poor if ot werea Travelodge or Days Inn, but it's a Hilton.
