Room - huge, views were stunning, felt very luxurious. Dinner - lovely choice of food, food all tasted delicious, staff were very attentive. Breakfast - huge choice of continental and cooked breakfast, again all very tasty. Staff at the spa were very lovely.

Breakfast was very good, rooms were very comfortable. Along with your designated en-suite bedroom upstairs, there is a large lounge and small kitchen, downstairs, dedicated to the paying guests which is a significant asset.

Staff during the day were very good. Food was ordered and was of a high standard hot steaks were as requested medium rare and very well presented Overall the service was good and a pleasurable meal was experienced

We were allocated room 20 in the basement on arrival in the room it was especially cold We assumed that the heating would be put on later in the evening. On returning from our show at the OVO we had a drink and retired to our room. The bedroom was freezing the heating in the room was not switched and checking the valves we were unable to switch it on My family member went to reception to ask for a heater as it was so cold. The response was non were available and were offered a blanket. Getting ready for bed was not a pleasant experience the beds due to it being so cold felt damp. No further support was offered and when I spoke to reception the following morning he appeared completely uninterested. Not a good service at all Which is a shame as it let the whole experience down On returning home we checked the reviews and the same complaint had been registered with yourselves. Again poor service and a lack of attention to how you treat your customers. I hope this review is acknowledged and a response is followed up

The room was great, the staff were lovely and fantasic, parking good if you get there early. I would stay here again.

I wasn't impressed with the full English, not for the price, as i didnt have the hash brown or black pudding thought they might have put 2 different choices on there. There was a lot of slamming of doors at closing time. I understand that' it's a pub just annoying.

Very basic facilities. But the worst was the value for money. I was charged £200 for one of the nights. This was the second most expensive night I have ever had in Edinburgh - in the second worst hotel there. A complete rip off. Particularly when I discovered (too late) that the rate for corporate customers starts at £80. I will never go back.
