  The cottage was extremely cosy, clean and well decorated. The kitchen was excellent and the lounge area was perfect for what we wanted. Location was central and close to shops and takeaways. We had loads of space between the three of us with a massive master bedroom. The cottage had lots of natural light and nice mood lighting.

  The left hand side single bed was extremely springy and not very comfortable whereas the right hand side single bed was far more comfortable. The left hand single also was extremely loud in the night if you moved around which woke us both up multiple times. The shower in the bathroom was rather confusing and lacked water pressure.

  The staff were very helpful especially Alex on bar and reception. Sam at breakfast was very cheery and a credit to her profession. Breakfast was excellent. Bedroom was clean like all areas of the property.

  Considering it promotes itself as a Coaching Inn not serving food after 7pm is not good. This maybe why at 08.30pm the bar area had no one in it. You could not purchase a drink after 9pm. The sign outside seems to promote itself as tea rooms with accommodation. I think it needs to decide what it wants to be. It is a shame really as it has the potential to be a good quality Coaching Inn.

  It’s the third time I have been to Kipps. It’s obvious that the ownership has changed. The rooms are pretty much the same as it was.

  What I really found a pity is that the communal rooms where all gone. So the atmosphere that Kipps used to have are gone. Definitely not a Backpackers anymore as it used to be. A little detail. The cable for the kettle was to short. So we had to put it on the floor to use it.
