The standards at the Lamb Inn are very high indeed, from the heavy bath towels and complimentary robes, to the spicey 'Virgin Mary' mix with breakfast (there was even a bottle of vodka for those wanting an early zing with their muesli). The room was well-proportioned and quiet with a large bathroom on a split-level. Toiletries provided were sensational, as was the sunflower head shower. Beds were comfortable too. The breakfast was described as 'continental' but only the warm croissant hinted at anything other than the British at its best on St. Georges Day; fresh honey, yoghurt, toast, homemade jams and marmalade, individual rich butter, fresh fruit and cereal. Hot options were available for an additional cost. The staff were all charming and efficient. There is a cosy bar with locals and their dogs and a glowing log fire was set for early arrivals. Although the bar is very welcoming, be prepared to pay hotel prices for your drinks.

The flavours of the evening meal were unfortunately left on the blackboard rather than delivered to the plate so supper was more 'sustenance' than anything memorable.

The flat is very well equipped for a family, it has everything you need. Some very well thought out extras for a family travelling. It’s very close to the Underground and there are a number of shops close by to buy supplies. A very comfortable stay.

A convenient location, great room and good food but the staff are what make it stand out above others - they were all superb - all were courteous, helpful and engaging.

Nice property in lovely semi rural surroundings with golf courses on both sides. Rooms were good and clean.

It’s a bit bit of a rabbit warren to get around. Breakfast was ok but quite a small area for the size of the hotel

Room and hotel very clean. Bed very comfortable. The hotel had everything we needed for our short stay

The air conditioning unit turned itself off and the choice for breakfast was not brilliant but we understand as it was a smaller hotel

Gym was very small and parking wasn’t included in the price - would have liked to have known that at time of booking

Note there is no breakfast available. The description on Booking.com mentions bed and breakfast hence why we booked it.
