Stayed at Hampton by Hilton a number of times now, but on this trip we were disappointed by a few things. However, dinner was good and room was very spacious with a comfortable bed. The room had everything we needed and a customer safe was fitted. We were on the third floor with a great sea view.

Quality of the breakfast food could be better, and service area kept cleaner. In our room the wall hung toilet was loose and unsafe. We repoerted this on the first morning of our stay but hotel management said they didnt have staff on site to be able to effectr a repair.

Breakfast was amazing! Latte would be a nicer option with the breakfast rather than filter coffee. Location was perfect! Staff were very helpful and friendly. The history of the Great Western displayed at reception was very interesting 🧐 Pub quiz was a lot of fun 😃

We understand the hotel is old which gives it great character, however I felt quite anxious the first night of our stay as it was quite windy and the windows made a lot of noise and I have to say I constantly woke through the night due to the bed shaking (I’m guessing due to the floor shaking a little) The rest of our evenings were pleasant 👍🏻

The whole experience was superb. We had a balcony overlooking the river. The hotel and food was exceptional. Special thanks to Enrico head waiter and Fran who looked after us with splendid food, drinks and made us feel special.

Immaculately clean, modern, not exceptionally well-equipped kitchen but everything you'd need to cook a meal in your apartment. Self-check in system was fine. Price very reasonable especially when on offer.

The usb ports on the plugs didn't work and the Wifi didn't seem to work until the morning after checking in. There's no lamp or side table light. Not obvious what to do with the key when checking out.

We were told that we could get room service, and pay on checkout . So we went to our room to get settled for the night , but when we called down for our food we were told that we could not get room service and that we would have to go down to the bar and buy our food there and then .
