How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We occupied two rooms during our stay. The bed in room 23 was acceptable, but we found it to be less comfortable than anticipated. It is suggested that this aspect be considered for potential improvement.
The personnel exhibited exceptional professionalism and friendliness throughout our stay. The breakfast service surpassed expectations with its freshness and quality. Our experience included the utilization of the sauna facilities, which contributed to our overall satisfaction. Ample and free parking was readily available. Overall I can recommend the place and would book again.

Beds were not realy comfortable for us.
Beautiful, noiseless place close to the nature. There is creek right beside it. The hosts and the owner are realy friendly and helpful. Also their restaurant is excelent.

The room is really pleasant - what I liked especially is that electric lighting is good. Something many hosts unfortuantley forget about that.

I felt at home at Gasthaus Klug. The staff of the gasthaus does a lot to comfort their guests and it is obvious that they like their work. A good atmosphere. Also important: excellent price/quality ratio.

A very charming guesthouse, located in a beautiful, natural area. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Very nice, friendly and warmly welcoming owners. Rooms equipped with everything you need to relax on the road or stay longer and explore the beautiful surroundings.

Location Cleanliness Breakfast Lovely staff
Extremely clean and comfortable gadthof in beautiful location. We wake up looking at a green hill with cows and flowers. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable. The breafast exceded our expectations: freshly made eggs, cheese, ham, fish paste, veggies, fruits, two types of yogurt, sweet pastry, good coffee. Big parking, good wifi. And a small gym with treadmill and some weights. We will definitely come back.

The gasthof's location is perfect, offering both tranquility and easy access to the highway. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, and the attention to detail in room decor added to the delightful ambiance. The warm and genuine hospitality we received from Monika, the owner, ensured our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The fantastic breakfast featuring fresh, local products and we also had the pleasure of dining at the on-site restaurant and the food was very good (a particular highlight was the delicious homemade apple juice).

A very pleasant hotel on the route to the south of Europe. Close to the highway, but peace and quiet. Spacious parking, clean, large, well-equipped room with a nice view, comfortable beds. Very nice service, good breakfast. Pleasant surroundings with a nice lake.

Beautiful surrounding and perfect for family visit with dog. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very good especially with happy Claussie around. Owner responses prompt and quickly. She is such a friendly lady! A good place to have a great time. Too bad we couldn’t stay longer. We will certainly visit again!

Kitchen equipment was worn and misssed some items, like we had only 2 small forks :)
Amazing place in the mountains, beautiful views, clean and quiet room, massage chair in corridor. Very responsive hosylt and good restraunt. Spacious free parking.
