Be warned though! We booked to pay at the hotel (not advance payment). They took a deposit the morning we were due to arrive. At departure they they advised that we should pay the total amount and the balance is released at the same time. They didn't do this - 6 days later I'm still awaiting my deposit back. It was not honest what they advised and the action they took on the deposit. Don't agree to the way they say that they finalise the invoice. I have never had this experience before in this way. I should have just paid for total stay LESS the deposit that that had already charged me.

I generally prefer a bathtub, but this was not offered. No telephone in room! It was suggested we should call the hotel number to speak to reception.

Location was excellent , especially close to the Groses Festspielhaus, which we had come to Salzburg for. We were upgraded to a nice superior room. The breakfast was splendid (but not served in room).

Excellent location for a visit to Salzburg, very close to all major sites, 5 minutes to walk to the Festspielhaus through a little tunnel underneath the mountain. Clean and nice and really good value despite the extras for breakfast and parking. Breakfast was nice, but the breakfast area is perhaps a little too small. Nice staff, particularly friendly to our child which is always appreciated. Parking garage underneath the hotel is convenient.

It was situated quite central, reachable to the city centre by walk or alternatively you can take trolleybus /bus which run often just in front of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, organised and very clean.

They were renovating the entire outside of the building. This meant our windows were wrapped in plastic sheets. The cooking/kitchen equipment within the suite was very poor.

The location was excellent. Just outside the old city (5min walk), which offered the best in regards to location and price.

We stayed for couple of nights in the suite, and it was very spacious. It also had a terrace with a great view. The staffs were very friendly and approachable.Breakfast had enough variety and was reasonably priced . Location was ideal, old town was stone throw away and the access to the old town through tunnel was an unique experience. The grocery store was also a couple of minutes walk.

Perfect location , crossed the tunnel and we were in the middle of everything. The castle is walking distance away too. The staff of the hotel were very welcoming and gave us alot of information regarding the town and what to do.

rooms were too hot and air con didnt bring temperature down, several people saying the same , maintenance looked at it but no better, meant that sleep was bad due to heat

We were not given any intimation on email oryy even during check in about the renovations happening at the hotel due which I was caught surprised staring at a worker outside my room. The room & bathroom are a bit too small for my liking
