How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Simple, convenient place to stay, the only disadvantage was not being able to have dinner at the hotel, even though it was only ~7pm on Saturday.

Location could be a tiny bit better, but there’s a train station really close to it.
It’s very cool and clean. Definitely a fun experience with the slide, table tennis, etc. Nice breakfast as well.

The room was not that comfortable. Not enough space for 4 people’s staff.
The vibe - full of young people. The kids liked the slide very much.

Houskeeping randomly opened the door to our room in the evening around 19.30. Bed was really hard. Some of the staff seemed feed up with being at work.
Fun concept with lots of colors. Great access to workspaces and hangout areas. Really nice lounge and commonareas!

For my taste it was not clean enough. Bath with month/years of limescale. The bed was old with extensive sign of use. The only thing why I didn't complain is that I got the room on Booking for 1/2 the price. It would not have been ok for 160euro/day ....
Location is good, breakfast also nice.

Extremely expensive breakfast. Area around is not very special, it is still a little walk to the train station.

Bed was too uncomfortable, the mattress was too hard, didn’t let us have a nice rest. And is not about preference as my partner likes a good hardness, is just a bad mattress. Also pillows, one too flat and the other one has knots, our necks are still hurting from it.
Room was nice, and the hotel as well in general.

We had problems controlling the temperature in our room and some nights it was very warm so we didn't sleep well.
The check-in and check-out process was smooth and we loved all the social spaces on the property. The location was great for using the public transportation, a short walk from the metro. We also enjoyed the room, which was spacious and had nice curtains that filtered the sunlight.

Bed linen and toilet didn't smell very fresh.
Breakfast was really good, with a great choice and variety. Design is fresh and creative. Good parking facility inside of the building. Good public transport connections.

It was hard to monitor the temperature in the room. There was no fridge in the room.
The decor of the hotel was fun and welcoming. We were provided with a lovely bowl of fruit and sweets on the room on arrival.

The beds could be softer.
Check in is very fast and self-explanatory as well as the check-out process. I enjoyed the restaurant and their weekly specials they have. Additionally, they have a small bistro section where you can grab something if you are in a hurry. The room was quiet and comfortable, you could hear somethings going on but the rooms are well soundproofed. The location is far enough away from the city center, but has excellent access to public transportation. I also like the proximity to the grocery and other shopping.

I found some hair on my bed pillow cover when I arrived and I feel like towels were being reused.
Great location and very helpful staff. They helped me guide throughout the city and got me to have great start to explore Vienna. And they were ready to answer my questions and had very welcoming behavior.

If I had to find one thing we didn't like, it would be the bed, which was a little bit hard, but we still slept well.
We liked the location; Close to the subway and tram. The room was clean and well-designed and you feel comfortable in it. Overall, the corridor and the hotel are quite calm so perfect place to stay for a weekend when visiting Vienna. The staff was helpful and nice.

It was hard to use the free laundry due to the students living there also using it. It would have been nice to know that it would take a while to do laundry.
The property was very nice and set up in a way to welcome people. We had enjoyed the slide and the amenities in our room. Very close to the subway station which we used multiple times a day!

In the end, it is a student residence so a lot of the times the facilities were filled with them and you couldn't use them.
It was clean and modern, with different facilities.

The mattresses are not in the best condition. They definitely needs some cleaning
Excellent price/value ratio. Breakfast is super good, with a wide variety of food. Nice and friendly staff who speak English and are ready to help
