The air conditioner remote was stuck to the wall so the air-conditioning was inoperable, we left the balcony door open and put up with the street noise to cool the room down

I really don't enjoy giving negative feedback, but it wasn't an enjoyable stay. The staff were all friendly and the hotel served it's purpose (somewhere to sleep), but it wasn't an enjoyable experience. The room felt very old and tired, the powerpoints weren't properly fixed into the wall in areas, I couldn't find a TV remote.

I ended up visiting Brisbane for work with dates coinciding with State of Origin. Needless to say it was hard work finding somewhere to stay! This is a budget hotel based in a reasonable location in Brisbane.

If you are looking for a place that has breakfast and vending machines (for drinks) as per the website then this is not the place to stay. We have previously stayed (2020, 2021 and 2022) and were told these services were unavailable due to covid. However the services are still unavailable and do not look like they have been used in a long time. The staff were unable to tell us why and when it will reopen. Convenience store at the top of the hill, however it is only open until 630pm. Coles/ Woolies about 5-10 minute walk

Close to central station. Good base to explore the city or football. Suncorp stadium is about a 15 minute walk or one stop from central station.

This hotel is long past it’s glory. It is in need of a serious makeover. We had to climb into a spa bath, that had a poorly repaired crack in it, to take a shower. The curtains had come unhitched at the top so we couldn’t close them properly. No comfortable seating, just 2 dining chairs. No bedside table on one side of the bed. Cramped. We won’t be returning.

The beds were terrible, the decor extremely dated, the linen was very well used and the aircon hardly worked. Don't bother eating breakfast at the restaurant, it was terrible on every level.

The location was fantastic. Close to the CBD and a short scooter ride to the convention centre.

the staff wouldn’t offer us 2 keys even tho we traveled with 2 gusts . the room was not cleaned well, the bathroom was a little grimy and the windows has makeup marks all over them like people have smooshed their faces on them. the room was very old we had part of the clapboard fall off . our air con stopped working in the middle of the night and they told us they didn’t want to pay the public holiday fee to get someone to come look at it so we had to try sleep in a stuffy room with one small window .

the location and price was fair

First room was dirty, bathroom door was broken, phone disconnected so couldn't ring to get issue sorted, room was sad and tired like no body cared. We got moved to another room which was marginally better however it was still worn out, rubbish under bed and floors sticky. Hot and cold taps around the wrong way. Security needs looking at Would not recommend this place at all and won't come back.

They could have come and fixed my TV, which didn't work, the first time I called. It took four calls for them to eventually change my rooms, hours after I arrived.

First room we were shown had a mould problem but the staff immediately switched us to another room. This room had a slight mould problem that didn’t show until after using the shower a few times. Each room should be properly treated for mould, not just painted over/washed. The beds were just pure springs digging into you everywhere. My husbands side was worse (king bed made of 2 singles pushed together). The noise from a garbage truck woke me at 4am every night. It was so loud I thought people were barging into the room beating pots and pans together. I’m assuming they don’t have double paned glass so don’t expect quiet. Curtains were dirty. We were notified on check in about the movie channels but could not get them to work in the room. They sent someone to fix it who informed us there were no movies channels as the system was broken. Communication between departments needs revising. We chose this hotel due to a deal they had going. Rooms normally go for $300p/n but I think we got it for $197p/n. We thought it was a great deal for the location and the pictures were stunning. Beautiful foyer etc. However, it becomes obvious once you’re there that you are paying for the location and not an above standard room.

Location was excellent, close to train station and the central shopping district of Queen St. Staff were friendly and helpful.
