How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It smelled of smoke, ironing board cover was very old and fell off, had to use a towel to iron on. Sofa bed had a big dip in the middle. Roadworks made it difficult to get to, but if no roadworks its location was ok.
It was very big and had fantastic views. King and queen beds were very comfortable

It was clean but showed a few signs of wear.
A great location. Our 3 bedroom apartment was comfortable and very spacious. We’d definitely stay there again.

When we arrived the heater was set to maximum, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable until we could control the temperature which took almost 12 hours. We had a leak under the sink that flooded to kitchen whilst we were out. There were not enough towels for our number of guests.
It was easy to find and the staff were extremely helpful

The staff member at check in smelled like cigarettes from a good couple of metres away. The staff member at checkout arrived late, so this delayed my departure. One of the residents gave my family some really judgmental looks when they were bringing their dog out for a walk. The “hotel guest” undercover car parking spots are in the worst places in the car park. We couldn’t work out how to connect to the wifi their website asks you to pay, but I was told it was included. Some of the bedding was stained.
Location was very good. It was fairly close and within walking distance to some of the local destinations we planned to visit.

Traffic was noisy at times. Emptying of bins at 4am was not good.
Area was close to Capital Hill where I needed to be and not too far from the CBD. The room had a fantastic View of the Hill. Elevators were fast and access in and out was very secure.

Nothing fancy but met the needs of a family.

The aircon wasn't working properly in the living room and now aircon or fan in one bedroom.
The apartment was bigger than expected with two seperate bathrooms. Laundry and decent size kitchen.

The cleanliness of the appartment we felt could be better. Just felt like it needed some TLC and a good deep clean. Windows and balcony doors were very grubby. Carpets very dirty in places, probably needs replacing. It was probably the carpets that left quite a musty smell inside the apartment. Just felt that there could have been a higher standard of housekeeping and maintenance. Though I would just add that none of this affected our stay there.
Great location, good facilities, spacious apartment with everything we need. Lovely balconies with great views. Comfortable and staff we had contact with we pleasant. Easily accessible and secure car parking.

The rooms were a little outdated and the carpet was loose in a few areas that had we had an older person may have caused a tripping hazard.
Good location for where we needed. The kids enjoyed the heated pool and the parents enjoyed the sun chairs! Kitchenettes were great for a family stay.

Location fantastic. Amazing views of lake and mountains. Room was tired. Could have done with an update. Needs extra supplies in the kitchen. Windows need a wash. Bathrooms could do with a regrout and freshen up.

Cooking for bedrooms poor, shower not working properly, cooking limited as not all things like frying pan suitable for induction stove & don’t work, wires on carpet exposed, in general the apartment needs some maintenance & wasn’t helped by 7am loud construction work on weekend next door
