How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room was clean, and it was nice that each room had its own bathroom. Moreover, the friendly staff made the trip enjoyable.

Kitchen closes too early (early for international guests at least) and they would just make you leave the floor, even if you were eating.
4-p dorm was big and comfortable, bed was great. Housekeeping would clean everything daily. Excellent location.

Be prepared that there are a fair few stairs up to the bedrooms and reception!
Conveniently located near Darlinghurst and the CBD. Very clean and social great for solo travellers or friends!

The room was little dark, They can put an extra towel in the bathroom floor area to soak the water comes from shower. All other things was good.
The hostel has more privacy, bed was comfy. Location of the hostel is vey near to surfer paradise beach. Bathroom was clean. It has swimming pool and hot tub. The common space is really vey spacious. There are two bathroom with shower attached with the common space.

Rooms are comfy, with suprisingly private beds. The bunkbeds were designed in a way that you have minimal contact with the others in the room. The downstairs kitchen/lounge room is also spacious, comfortable and clean.

I liked that there was at least a shower and a toilet in the common area which you're welcome to use after check out. Additionally, there are leftover food and items that you can use for cooking or taking.

There is no parking so you will need to find on streets parking or use on of the car parks nearby.
The location is ideal, walking distance to anything you need. The checkin process was also really easy and the setup is nice with a huge kitchen area, lots places to chill and eat as well as a pool and pool table. The rooms were spotless and the design of the bunks was unique and good for privacy. Enjoyed having a balcony too.

Showers werent the best, a bit hard mattress
Perfect location, good and clean kitchen, good roommates. Absolutely loved the place, definitely recommend staying here

Unfortunately, the bathroom door didn't lock, so I did have someone walk in whilst I was getting ready which wasn't great!
Good privacy in the dorms with how the beds are arranged and nice to have a balcony. Very big kitchen to cook, and I liked having locker space for cupboard food

They advertised beer pong on the screens and then said that they haven’t done it for a while. Activities like that are good to get to know people

Unfortunately when I was there it was undergoing renovations so certain areas like the pool wasn’t available and scaffolding blocked the view

It’s overpriced and it was dirty in the bathroom and in my room most times Air conditioning didn’t really work and smell in room was awful

The kitchen could have been equipped a bit better, sometimes basic things like forks were missing. Price was a bit steep, but I suppose it is a good hostel in a great location. Some more hooks in the room would've been good.
Hot tub next to the pool!! It was incredible and a great way to meet people. The kitchen was big enough and very convenient. A lot of comfortable common spaces to eat and chill. The room was built in a way that gave great privacy to everyone in the room. There was a light and power in every bed. Very comfortable, and there was also a balcony. The location was amazing, right on the greyhound bus station, 2 minutes from the beach and shops, and right on all the public transport lines. It's super easy to get anywhere.
