Comfortable hotel with friendly staff, a nice pool and restaurant. Also super useful laundry room and dryers which helped us refresh our clothes partway through our trip!

Have stayed here many times over the past 25 years. The standard of service is consistently excellent and the pool is the best in Darwin. Recent upgrades to the hotel room bathrooms and the swimming pool area have been thoughtfully and tastefully done.

I would like to see more dinner menu options. We would have eaten there more often if there was more variety.

The staff were amazing. They were so helpful and always able to assist with any needs. The pool was also fantastic with plenty of room for adults and children.

Room 516, corner lamp did not work + toilet paper roll holder loose but those are just comments allowing issues to be sorted.

Reception, restaurant and surroundings very fancy, clear and clean. Welcoming environment and very helpful staff. Easy parking + access to city centre. Excellent breakfast.

Be aware the carpark is a bit of a walk.

After reading some of the comments we were unsure if to stay. I am glad we did; we could not fault the hotel re the room, it was clean, has been updated, comfortable and the facilities are excellent. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the pool was fantastic. We enjoyed the restaurant so much we ate there the next day as well. Breakfast was amazing and catered for everyone. Definitely want to come back to the NT and stay there again.

The only teeny down side was the sheets (whilst clean and fresh) had a rough patch where the material had “bubbled” and was very rough when you ran your hands over it.. but this was not a deal breaker.. just a Princess and the Pea comment!!😂

It was an EXCELLENT breakfast and we were spoilt for choice! The staff (from the security guy who helped us up the stairs at 2.00AM! ) to the reception staff and breakfast staff.. were ALL extremely helpful, kind, courteous and nothing was too much trouble! I just wish we could have stayed for a few more days!!

Because we booked through Booking.com instead of the property, they would not give us a tax invoice. It was as if we were less important or valued.

Our Qantas plane from Auckland to Brisbane was delayed 3 hours, so we missed our connecting flight and thus the first night of our reserved stay. But we were nevertheless charged for the first night of our reservation. Hotel staff "explained" that they could do nothing because the reservation had been made through booking.com. But we had called the hotel when we settled into our substitute hotel in Brisbane, and they had had no record of the reservation, although they did when we arrived the next day. We will try to sort this out with booking.com but are not pleased with the lack of communication, the passing the buck and having to pay for services not received. We may resort to a credit-card dispute. Other than that, the hotel was a bit worn, with a loose floorboard under the rug in our room and some need for a paint job outside, but nothing that would stop us from staying there again.

The location is excellent, right on the Esplanade and close to the restaurants, pubs and shops of Mitchell Street. The large pool is some 36 meters long, so good for exercise lap swimming and very clean. The continental breakfast was mediocre, without outmeal but with yoghurt and fruit, but the poke bowl and salmon sashimi were surprisingly good and healthy for dinner.
