Booking.com quoted the distance as 9km from our sporting venue, this is not accurate, and it was a 25 minute drive each way. Other than that the stay was great and accommodation as described.

We booked a cabin at Friday creek as a stop over but it was far from being just a “stop over”. Gorgeous and cozy little cabins positioned overlooking a valley. The pool was great for the kids (5 and 2 yr old) and had amazing views. There are plenty of natural swimming holes and walking tracks nearby. For only a 20ish min drive from the highway, you feel a million miles away. Paul the owner was super friendly and made sure we settled in nicely. it felt like we’d known him for years. We wished we booked for longer. We will definitely be back.

An amazing location in the hills and valleys, stunning, cozy cabins. The theme of our cottage- African tribal - was amazing. The views were spectacular.

The property was wonderful. We were a little worried when there was no one at the office and no one answered the phone when we arrived but we found the cabin and just moved in. All I would say is it might be helpful to send customers some clear instructions on finding the cabin and checking in if they arrive after hours or they dont know when they will arrive.

The views were stunning across the back of the property, the cabin was wonderful and very tastefully decorated and the bed super comfortable. It felt very private and secluded.

Tv was too small but otherwise perfect.

Though the drive from town center kept you away from amenities and restaurants, the size and location of the property was wonderful. Breathtaking views and amazing facilities. The cabin was perfect, beautiful spa bath, great decor and furnishings and very comfortable. Great place for a weekend getaway or a weeklong vacation. My wife and I can’t wait to go back.

Nothing! Friday Creek had everything we needed.

The cabin was comfortable, clean, kitchen fully equipped, the location was only 20 mins away to central Coffs Harbour and was in the most beautiful spot. Peace and quiet, the pool was great, bikes available, good Wifi and Paul was friendly and helpful. Thanks for the quick lesson cooking Pizzas! Can’t wait to go back.

Our cottage wasn't very clean when we arrived. Dust on the tables and worktops and dirty windows spoilt what was otherwise a lovely cottage. It's difficult to keep the outside of a cottage clean in this type of location, but cleanliness inside should be possible.

Absolutely beautiful countryside location with stunning views. We had the "Casablanca" cottage which had been very thoughtfully decorated with Moroccan style decor and furnishings.

It is VERY remote....

Retreat is the right word! We were surrounded by beautiful views of the countryside. It was very quiet. Comfortable beds! Good recommendations of things to do. Couple of hiccups with keys & hot water, but Paul sorted this out for us.

The biggest shame was the pool at the time. It was cloudy and full of leaves and didn't appear to be filtering or moving at all. The owner was aware and ensured it was chemically balanced, but due to the long weekend couldn't get a specialist out. So over a hot 2 days that was disappointing as it's the main facility but it's just one of those things. The sofa bed mattress was a real issue though. I think it was the original one from long ago. Like sleeping on a gate with nothing between the wires and the covering fabric at all. They should have ensured it was sound before selling it as a bed. I felt sorry for my daughter who used the sofa bed and we put as many doonas and blankets on it that we could find. I couldn't have slept on it at all. I did report this and they said they would replace it. I do hope they check all the sofa bed mattresses while they're at it because it wasn't fit for purpose. The main bed was divine though. It would have been great to have a dishwasher but they're on a septic system so maybe that's not possible.

Loved the property and setting. It's God's country and the sun setting of an afternoon over the valley whilst swinging on your balcony hammock chair was utterly divine. We felt immediately rested and restored by the natural beauty and quiet. The cabin was beautifully decorated with high quality appliances and designer crockery. The bedroom was gorgeous with comfy beds and pristine linen. The bathroom was huge and the spa was amazing with romantic candelabra. The pizza oven kitchen, dining and lounge seating around the pool was incredible though, tuscan style and can accommodate several large families dining taking in stunning views.

Only 1 minor complaint, that has more to do with the expectations set by their messaging. Their copy-paste/automated messaging states they’re available if you need anything, offer farm fresh eggs, daily firewood refills, etc. But the opposite is true. No response to text, email, or call, and the reception is never open. The daily firewood refills never happen, and by the time you realize that, it’s too late to buy your own. No response to buying their eggs, and no response when the heater was not working on a cold night, etc. Better if they were upfront that you’re on your own, so that guests can adjusted accordingly instead of being disappointed and inconvenienced. But this is minor and I would definitely stay there again.

The views were absolutely stunning. I’m talking 11/10 delightful. The cabins face west so you get amazing sunsets from the living area and main balcony. The area is idyllic - quiet and picturesque. The cabin was very cute and comfortable. Pet-friendly, which is so very much appreciated. So relaxing. Would stay again!

Unfortunately for us, we had a neighbour who enjoyed themselves with loud music. The property was quick to address it (without any prompt by us), however it was just a clash in types of experience both parties were wanting. Not the fault of the property nor either party but just impacted our stay from the desired silent retreat versus the neighbours. I can't even make this a complaint because everyone has a right to enjoy themselves and you just need to find a happy medium which they property and neighbours obliged with. Very well handled by the property themselves.

What an exceptional property! The surroundings, views, property and obvious care by the owners was fantastic. Thoughtful and detailed touches throughout. The team were personable, approachable and made you feel like they genuinely cared that you had a highly positive and enjoyable stay. What a find!

What a slice of heaven Friday Creek Retreat is. Situated on the most stunning property, the cottages are beautiful and comfortable. Happy hour by the pool watching the sunset was our favourite. We have rebooked to go back in a few months we loved it that much!
