Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe were sad that we couldn’t get room service although having a restaurant downstairs was ideal but sometimes on the lazy days you just wanna lay in bed and order some food.
We enjoyed the view and how close the hotel was to literally everything. That being said everything was walking distance and we didn’t have to drive everywhere. The bed was soooo comfy

JapanThe shower: the door didn't quite close properly and there was a 1cm gap running along both sides of the door which would let a puddle of water run out and to the floor beside the toilet. It wasn't so much of an issue, but our bathmat would always be soaked even before getting out of the shower which was a bit annoying. We ended up shifting the bathmat a bit further away from the shower, and just stepping over the puddle. A minor inconvenience, but it stands out when pretty much everything else was perfect. Might be a bit tricky to get a car in, as it needs to squeeze in a tiny shared lane behind the hotel. We never had any issues with this, but it could be something to consider when driving in or having someone pick you up. Tip: there's a commercial vehicle pickup/dropoff area on the main road outside Sushi Hub on 231 George St, which we directed a mini bus to pick us up from for an event, as we couldn't risk the bus having troubles in the tiny alleyway.
All staff were absolutely lovely! We were especially impressed with three instances: 1) We have a tradition of bringing a little otter plushie on our travels, and he usually sits on the nightstand (out of the way for making the bed). After a tiring long day out, we got back to our room to find the bed perfectly made up, with the otter sitting and chilling on the pillows! Just this tiny playful touch from the housekeeping team brought us so much joy and we completely forgot how tired we were in the moment, we couldn't stop laughing! 2) Our sink was draining pretty slowly from the start, and on our second night it drained even slower. I was impressed that the reception immediately attempted to find us a new room. We were told none were available and maintenance went home for the day (which was understandable) but to our surprise it seems like an on-call maintenance person was then called to attend to us! He was super polite and professional, asking if anything else needed fixing. The next morning, another maintenance staff came in to check on us. We loved the attention and consideration Hyatt gave to our issue. 3) After checking out, we were sitting around downstairs for a while waiting for a friend caught up in a delay when driving over. The staff gave us water bottles and would periodically check in to see if there was anything they could help with. When our friend arrived, they helped us load our heavy suitcases in the boot - which may be expected as their job, but the friendly attitude they went about it all was a lovely way to end our time (for now!) at the Hyatt Regency. Other things I liked: - The pool open from 6-6 with a big shelf of ready to use towels beside it was nice and clean. I ordered a fresh coconut after having a little swim. - Location!! We did pretty much all our shopping on the same street, and loved the access to Coles right across the hotel (50 or so steps and an escalator away). Very easy walk to the pools in South Bank.

AustraliaTop sheet of bed was scrunched down at the bottom - not made properly (not the end of the world but worth mentioning) Husband received attitude from valet in regards to our car and not being able to fit in the car park. Was quite rude however another team member stepped in to offer alternative solutions Same valet broke confidentially and told me that there were celebrities staying at the hotel the same night we were (I won't publish their names). That's a bit concerning
Clean and comfortable. This is our "go to" hotel for city stays

GermanyUnfortunately, there is very loud music everywhere and at all times of the day: in the lobby, the bar, the restaurants and at the pool. But I would certainly stay at this hotel again. In fact, this was already my second stay!
The location is brilliant and the pool is lovely. There are several very good options for dining in. The staff are very professional and friendly but not over the top or invasive, which is something I've unfortunately experienced at other hotels in Brisbane.

AustraliaThe sliding door between the bedroom and bathroom in our room (Room 805) was broken and didn't slide readily. (sorry, we forgot to notify reception). It didn't spoil our stay by any means, more a notice to get it fixed :-) .
Bed was very comfy, room was clean and had everything we needed. We loved spending our spare hour relaxing in the hotel pool on a warm Saturday afternoon.

IrelandIt would have been difficult to find, if you, as we were, were new to central Brisbane. However the taxi helped arriving, and we left for the Airport again by taxi. it is not the Hotel's fault, its a bad planning issue.
When we found it, all went well. We arrived early to explore the city centre. They checked us in and took care of our luggage. The 'front' of the hotel is in a pedestrianised area close to buses and almost lost amongst the shops. Taxi's drop you off at the back entrance to the hotel on a lower level. The reception there and care of our luggage by their staff was exceptional, both arriving and departing the next day. We ate in their restaurant just across from reception, and were happy to have both lunch and supper there. It's 5 minutes walk to the free centre circulating bus which will drop you off near the riverside wharf where there's a free water taxi that takes you around the watery center of the City and can drop you off at the Maritime Museum too. The free bus ,no 40, runs only Monday to Friday.

AustraliaNothing major but the timing for Housekeeping. Just seemed to always line up when we just returned to our room. Totally understand they have a lot of rooms to get through but would be nice to have some system where a button or app can notify when you have left the room, schedule the service or what particulars of the room you would like serviced. The Housekeeping staff were lovely and discreetly left when they entered the room whilst we were in it. The light switches were confusing. We couldn't turn on just the bathroom light without turning everything on in the room. Doesn't work great when you're getting up in the middle of the night. The late night room service menu was a little sad. Green pea soup doesn't sound very enticing but again probably better than having a burger at midnight. But if that's what you're craving at least there's plenty of options just outside the hotel.
Location is perfect. Food and prime shopping options are all very closeby! The Bed. Amazing!!! The downstairs concierge was super nice and he made you felt cared for. We waited a while for our pick up and he kept checking in on us and offered us a bottle of water. He had this little skip in his step that made you see he enjoyed his job and kept a check on everything. Much more efficient than the actual front of house staff with a little spark to his personality. I didn't see his name but he sounded he might have been Ukrainian but my apologies if this is incorrect. To the owners, this is the kind of person you want to meet when you've had a long journey, he needs a serious promotion! Love the streaming capability on the TV. The open and changeable plan of the room helps to make the room feel large. If you want to watch the news while you brush your teeth, you can. They also had some unique snacks and complementary water but only one bottle for the entire stay for two people. We enjoyed the sparkling and still water on tap in the lobby with some little sweet treats after a long day of shopping.
