Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe bar fridge had a clear door that remained lit up at night which was annoying. The angle of the tv could not be adjusted to view the tv from the table and chairs. The most upsetting issue was the concierge l encountered the day before l checked out in the afternoon. The helpful young man on Reception when l arrived at the hotel said he could book me a local taxi to take me to the Parkland Rail Terminal which was not accessible by any public transport. I needed to check in to an interstate train very early on the day l checked out. So l wanted to know that l could arrange a taxi. I had done this a few times before on my travels with no problems. All other hotels had been very helpful. However, about 4pm on the Wednesday afternoon when l went to Reception to arrange this there was a tall older man on the desk. He said he could not arrange a taxi for me. He stated they did not like to do this. He went on to tell me that the taxis did not show up and he had a button under the desk which allowed staff to call a taxi. I was shocked and said that l had been told on checkin this could be done. I said l had no way to get to this terminal to get my train and this was now creating worry. I said it was strange that another staff member said this could be done and l had always been able to precook a taxi elsewhere. This man went on to say “ l will tell you a story why we don’t call taxis”. I said l did not want to hear his story and walked away. This meant however that my last night was sleepless and unpleasant as l did not feel confident that a taxi could be arranged and l could make my connections. So l got up the next day extra early and spoke to a different staff member at Reception. He arranged a taxi promptly and expressed concern at my experience the afternoon before. He suggested l follow this up as what l had been told was not correct and he also apologised for the upset. I checked out on Thursday 4th April.
All elements good, room as per pictures provided so description accurate. Loved the view, being able to adjust heating/cooling to my taste, bed very comfortable, loved the decent size table and chairs provided. Bathroom was a great size with heater and fan and the shower pressure was fantastic. Also loved the brand and full size toiletries provided. The room was spacious and clean. A very relaxing stay. A very lovely man called Tony was available with a courtesy vehicle to drive guests into town. This was a wonderful service that was greatly appreciated for a visiting interstate tourist. Very knowledgeable about his home town.

AustraliaTV casting from the phone was a little tricky to get working, not the hotels fault though!
The room was great, clean and spacious and the bar & restaurant had a fantastic city view for sunset. Staff were very friendly and accomodating of a booking change on a previous visit, which led me to book another stay a few weeks later.

AustraliaCAR PARKING: wasn’t guaranteed a car park even though I was booked for 3x nights. I appreciate its a ‘first in, first served’ policy but when you arrive and I am ‘first in’ then that spot should be mine throughout my stay. When wanting to use the car during the day, we were told by reception that the park is not guaranteed when we get back but should be ok because not many check-ins that day. But if I am paying $15 per day for the spot, it’s seems ridiculous it’s not mine for the entirety of my stay. HOTEL BAR: it was great having a bar on our floor, and prices seemed standard for in-hotel prices excluding the cocktails. Which were a standard price @ $22 but your cocktails are not being served in a standard size glass. So I would have preferred to pay more for the correct size cocktail at least.
STAFF: very friendly and accommodating especially with room service. ROOMS: Very clean and beds were comfy.
