Only able to use on-site parking for two of my four nights - had to use street - as arrived after dark on first night, then very busy on around dinner time on Trivia night. Bringing my luggage in from street was difficult.

Extremely comfy and well appointed room. Marvellous restaurant on site. Very enjoyable trivia night.

All was just fine. We stayed for two nights, but would have been happy with the Statesman for a longer period.

There was no reception. We had no problems but always good to know there is staff around if there was a problem or questions which is why a reception is handy.

Though supposed to be noise- proofed, the noise from other rooms and corridor was quite audible. The suburban location meant there wasn’t too much traffic noise - which was a blessing! One things I really didn’t like was that the air con switched itself off at about 2230. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get it going. I even downloaded the user manual of the web to troubleshoot. Still didn’t work. And as the windows weren’t opening at all, just glass in frames, I actually felt very claustrophobic. It was awful. I honestly felt as though I wanted to smash the window open!!!

It seemed good value compared to others. Just wanted a cheaper one night stay. Self check in was smooth and easy. Great that there was a restaurant on site. The meal was nice and staff friendly.

There were no staff on duty on Easter Friday - which wasn't a particular issue, just no breakfast option.

The room was in decent condition and clean. It is near a little parade of shops and cafes.

Pillows are very high, it gave me neck pain. The parking garage looks dirty with rubbish and gas tanks.

Lots of space, power plugs and surfaces in the room. The staff off site are very helpful. The location is next to the supermarket and cafes.

An old building with no lift but it has been very well updated.

I should have asked for a ground floor room as I cannot do the stairs now with luggage. However the Manager carried my bag up and she and her staff were very helpful and pleasant. The shower facilities especially the hot water was wonderful.

Disappointing that the restaurant/meals area was closed. The rooms were a little dated, but an attempt to modernise them was a bonus. Unfortunately the next morning we could hear the guests and their tv from the adjoining room.

Under cover car parking was provided. Check-in was all done electronically which was good. We headed straight to our room to unpack, then we headed to the sports bar for a drink. Staff were pleasant. We decided to have a meal, but restaurant was closed so we ate from the bar menu. Food was good and reasonably priced. We then sat on the balcony after dinner. It was pleasant even though we were overlooking the car park. Our room was spacious, and bathroom ( shower & toilet) was also. Vanity area was outside of bathroom enclosure. Shower was hot and water pressure was great. Room was quiet and we slept well. Bed/pillows were comfortable.

The bedding! Bottom sheet, a stained quilt with no cover, and then the top sheet on top as if it was the bedspread. You can really do so much better.

The staff in the bar/restaurant were fantastic! So happy and helpful. The rooms are simple, but adequate.
