Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We stayed two nights, Saturday and Sunday. The room wasn't serviced by the time I got back in the afternoon. At 3.50pm, the maid just walked in. She didn't knock, I was having a rest after running the Half marathon. She took all the towels and left fresh ones , but no face washer. Also, for some reason I had two single beds. The sheet system is the doona cover. There was no way of just having sheet cover and doona was pretty hot through the night.

AustraliaNot the we didn’t like - more a future approach - if the marathon continues We loved our stay and knew a 10.30 am cutoff would have been too tight to return as a runner, so we booked the extra night even though we had to be back to leave and left at 3pm Sunday afternoon not Monday morning It would be awesome if a option for a part daily extension from a 10am until 3pm at a partial cost for marathon runners is made ready available as it’s only a few extra hours and the room is then vacant for

AustraliaReally nice hotel, with friendly staff at check in. Rooms were a good size with nice size ensuite. Bed and pillows were super comfy after a long drive. Self-serve nook with coffee, breakfast and wine (if you wanted!) was great too. Didn’t use the gym, but that was a good size with lots of equipment.

The property has some old world charm but a little more care could be taken to preserve this feeling rather than letting it fade or be replaced by soulless modern makeovers.

United KingdomThe soap dish in the room was broken off and we told them about it twice, but it was never fixed and no reason given. There was only soap, no dispensers, so a bit awkward. The shower door was broiken and fixed somewhat the first mention, but it still leaked water. The room was supposed to have a garden view and it did, of a pool that was a garden outside the gym area. There was a covering over it though that was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
The Brassey sits in the middle of Barton, an ideal place to explore Canberra and the CBD without being in the CBD. It is very near the Parliament and agencies surrounding. Everything is close by car, the lake, points of interest, and the airport. The hotel itself is a bit dated; older but still maintained fairly nicely. Certainly the room was comfortable, clean with a good bath. The reception staff were pleasant and chatty.

AustraliaBed had a heavy doona more for winter than summer & no top sheet. This was later partly rectified with a fresh sheet. Shower tile enclosure had mould in grout as did base of shower door. As you entered the studio room it smelt musty. Seems to have insufficient ventilation.
Brassey Hotel is perfectly located for a short visit to Canberra. Close to all major attractions & restaurant areas; Manuka & Kingston. We utilised on site "Share Bike" facility enabling a ride around the lake. Jake on reception was very prompt in obtaining a top sheet for the bed when requested.
