I love that it definitely felt more like a resort than a hotel. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and all the ammenities were great too. I like that you can order food and drinks from the poolside as well as the rooms. I’ll definitely stay here again.

there were parties on all nights during our stay. I understand there were different events on their rooftp bar but so noise for our little kids to go to sleep.

The whole experience was awesome from the booking to the staff throughout the entire Hotel complex , unfortunately I never had the opportunity to try the food but no doubt next time I will be staying on the Gold Coast I will.

If anything to fault it’s that the view of the carpark outside was unappealing.

Didn't realise there was a rooftop bar, on a Saturday night. Rooms are NOT soundproof, and bar is open until about midnight, so if you're a light sleeper, this perhaps isn't the hotel for you. Note that the noise from the street etc was pretty minimal. The comfort, location, and breakfast balanced out the bar noise.

Rooms were well appointed, with comfortable beds. Shower was AMAZING, as were the calibre of the shower toiletries. There was plenty of room to sit at the bench in the room and work as necessary. View from the verandah was nice as well, ocean could be seen quite easily. Breakfast downstairs in the morning (not included - happy to pay though) was fantastic! Compliments to the chef, who made one of the best eggs benny ever. Hotel was central to Cavill Mall. Pool was really pretty (and freezing), at least the outdoor spa was warm!

A little noisy being in the heart of Gold Coast. Unfortunately, you can hear a lot of what goes on outside, But if you are a deep sleeper like my boyfriend, then this just wouldn't class as an issue. I am a lighter sleeper, yet still feel overall content with our stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Island Gold Coast after a road trip from Sydney heading back to Brisbane. When booking the room in the car, I loved the pictures and the vibes and went with my gut and booked! I put in the comments section that my boyfriend had come all the way from Finland to visit me here in Australia and that we were looking to have the best last evening together and The Island staff went above and beyond for us. We booked a basic room and were upgraded to a suit on the 11th floor. We had the best view in the hotel from our balcony and overall this gave us the best experience. We hadn't had the best of luck with our rooms in previous hotels but we were together so we tried to not let that bother us. This upgrade and the quality of the room and the generosity of the staff really boosted our spirits allowing us to be the best version of ourselves that night and we look forward to visiting Gold Coast again and staying here at the Island hotel. Also, the food downstairs was delicious! Also LOVED the salon quality soaps and shampoo in the shower! Perfect after a swim in the ocean. Location is fantastic, you can see the ocean from your balcony.

Only has 1 pool and looks like they don’t clean the pool at all. The water is very cloudy. So much glass cups and left trash around the area. No one cleaned overnight.

We like the location as it is close to surfers beach, shops, restaurants.

So spacious in the room itself, the bed was like I was on a cloud, the couch even was great especially if you napped on it! So happy with the amount of bars around the property, the food was beautiful and the atmosphere was perfect!

The lack of ventilation in the bathroom and the bar fridge wasn't very cold. Would be great to see a slightly bigger fridge.

This stay was for my adult daughter and her friend, both Autistic. The staff were amazing in their willingness to include and keep an eye on them, just in case. I cannot thank them enough, the girls had the best time.

A great vibe for young and old. Rooms are amazingly clean with complimentary daily snacks you just don’t ever see anymore. Excellent beds and pillows like a luxury hotel. Friendly staff and great location. Our new go to for Surfers. We’ll certainly be back. :)

Its a little dated and hasn’t dragged itself out of the eighties just yet, but sometimes I feel like I’m stuck in the eighties, so we are like kindred spirits.

Great location and value for money. It’s a little dated but if you pretend you’re starring in an episode of Miami Vice it makes it all worth while.
