How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Not much light in the room we booked.
Beautiful little cottage with nice rooms, amazing views of Jindabyne. Lovely shared area with even a Pool table. Definitely recommenced to stay a couple of days. Lovely breakfast and amazing staff !!

Our room was wonderful ... as it was under the dining room I was woken by the host preparing the aforementioned delicious breakfast:)
The view!! Breakfast was delicious; fresh and varied with many options to enjoy; I especially liked the coffee, the avocado and the bread The soap is natural and has a pleasantly aromatic Decor is pleasing and stylish and comfortable, and the garden is relaxing and interesting The hosts were very friendly and helpful and responsive; they gave us some ideas about the area which we implemented

Claire and Dave are sublime hosts and made us feel like part of their family. We loved the arty décor, the amazing views, the exquisite breakfasts and the friendly conversations. The opportunity to share the breakfast table and the communal lounges with interesting and often international guests created a warm vibe. It's a true European chalet in the heart of Jindy.

The room was a little noisy over Easter with lots of people on their balconies in nearby apartments talking late into the night - Not a fault of the lodge though! A small coffee table in the room would have been good and a shelf in the shower so you could use your own toiletries.
The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Good proper coffee and great service. It’s a really good place to stay if you’re wanting to be in Jindabyne and close to town. We walked to dinner and down to the lake. The room was cosy and super clean. The Lakeview room we stayed in has the most stunning view. It’s the pick of the rooms I imagine.

The owners were absolutely fabulous, wonderfully hospitable and have created a beautiful and homely accommodation. The room had amazing views and the breakfast was delicious (with hot cross buns and easter eggs a cherry on top!). We were blown away by our stay and all plan on returning!

An amazing stay, couldn't ask for a more welcoming and comfortable experience! Highly recommend staying here. The hosts were so warm, friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious, well lit, the bed was comfortable and the whole place was spotless! Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, what a spread! And afternoon tea was a nice touch too, we appreciated a little snack after a long day's walk. Well worth the price.

Amazing service, incredible hosts, great facilities, super cosy lounges on each floor, very tasty breakfast and the fruit loaf bread in the afternoon! Walking distance to the town centre and the lake. We really enjoyed our long weekend stay and will happily stay here again!

Adjoining rooms with very nice furnishings , some steep stairs .
The best hosts☺️ Lovely couple (Claire and David) give good tips on the hiking and surrounds, (summer time, but they know snow too!) fun to meet other guests at breakfast, lovely breakfast food, relaxing g stay with nice views, enjoyed the summer hikes:)

The 2 bedrooms that shared a bathroom are very small and there is little to no space to leave your luggage.
Very nice and clean accommodation, lovely breakfast, great coffee and warm welcome from the owners.

I wish I could've stayed longer!
David and Claire are the best hosts! Excellent tips about the area, places to eat, as well as just casual conversation. The lodge itself is amazing. Breakfast is excellent and so much variety. My favourite, is the lounge upstairs. It is so cosy and quiet with the fireplace. A perfect place to chill and have a drink or some tea after a long day skiing.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.
Glorious view of Lake Jindabyne from the sunny and comfortable sitting room. Really delicious breakfasts and great coffee! The fruit loaf provided for afternoon tea was amazing.

Would have liked bath but shower excellent
Superb view from bedroom and great hosts. Breakfast was excellent and nothing could be too much trouble for our hosts. Parking spot allocated and plenty of common space to stretch out and relax. Stairs may be an issue some but if you are skiing or walking is all part of the exercise!

There wasn't anything that we disliked about staying here.
My husband and I popped down to Jindabyne for 1-night last minute and loved the accommodation here. Our room was immaculate, with a stunning view over lake Jindabyne. Breakfast was included in the breakfast room downstairs and the whole lodge had a cosy and welcoming feel to it. Claire and David were wonderful hosts.

Excellent accommodation with a sensational view! Very warm and cosy with an exceptional breakfast included. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, even going out of their way to let us plug in our car among other things. Absolutely everything you need for a short holiday, even including drying room if you are going to the snow, pool table and common lounge areas on each floor.
