When we arrived, a handwritten card gave us a welcome message from our host (included advice that she’d left icecreams in the freezer for us!). A lovely cottage set in a beautiful rural setting. It is beautifully furnished and the breakfast provisions were local and plentiful. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable and the artworks throughout were amazing.

Everything! The quiet, pretty location with wildlife all around. Exceptionally clean & comfortable, the fantastic wood fire warms you up fast. Our hostess Belinda has thought of everything to make your stay relaxed & stressless. The breakfast provisions were generous, to say the least & the extra treats, very much appreciated.

The whole property is beautiful with a beautiful cottage and very warm and cozy areas. The lounge area is very nice and the paintings in the wall make the inside very relaxing. It feels like home. The property is delightful for a getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at Windmill Cottage. The scenery, sunsets & setting were beautiful & the cottage was spotless. Breakfast provisions were delicious & plentiful & the wood fire was perfect for this time of the year. We can't wait for our next visit. Darryl & Robynn. 😊😊

Liked everything.

The breakfast that was provided really exceeded our expectations. My wife is gluten intolerant and she was catered for very well. We loved the peaceful out-of-the-way location and all the stars visible in the night sky without any city lights.

Lovely & cosy little cottage that’s a home away from home. Perfect position on top of the hill to enjoy the beautiful landscape views from the living room & bedrooms. We enjoyed listening and watching the bird life, kangaroos munching the grass and bees buzzing around the flowers. Thank you very much for having the fireplace set up & ready to go. We loved staying here for the weekend and wish we could stay here for the week. I can’t wait to come back!

That we couldn’t stay for longer… we will be back!

What a wonderful stay we had at Windmill Cottage. We felt so far away from the rest of the world, yet were so close to all of the great tourist spots the Clare Valley has to offer. The first thing we noticed was how impeccably clean it was… we are very fussy and could not fault it. The unexpected generosity with breakfast provisions were more than ample for our stay, fresh bacon, free range eggs, muesli, yoghurt, cereal and more! Thank so much for the chocolate and biscuits too… yum! As we’re in the depths of winter the combustion heater was ready for us to light and we definitely made good use of it over our stay, so warm and homely. The views from the property were amazing and the wildlife, even at this time of the year, were a pleasant surprise. Thank you to Belinda for your hospitality. It was also wonderful meeting your parents at the Medika Gallery in Blyth (a must visit!), we didn’t leave empty handed. We look forward to visiting again and will tell everyone (who we like) what a great little hideaway you have!

Extremely clean and very cosy. Lots of extra goodies provided with delicious breakfast supplies. Heater on for a warm welcome and fire all set to light. Loved being able to walk around the property and enjoy the peace and animals.

Main bed lacked support for a bad back but not to be held against this amazing place.

Wonderful accommodation with everything you need - amazing views, delicious local produce and extremely comfortable. Idyllic estate in natural surrounds with wildlife opportunities including birdwatching and perfect spot to watch the sunset.

nothing- it was perfect.

the hosts have gone to a lot of effort to ensure our staff was exceptional. There was a lot of information given to enhance our staff at the cottage and i am looking forward to staying there again in the future. There is a lot of wild life around from the finches and budgies and lorokets to the kangaroos and rabbits. Then there is all views from various points on the property. Also all the plants as well.

Nothing, it was fantastic

Secluded and very tranquil. lovely to be in a rural setting yet just 6 km from Clare. the cottage was very well appointed, stocked with provisions and very clean. It was very roomy, comfortable with everything you needed. The little extras from Belinda demonstrated a delightful personal touch and clear evidence that she cares for her guests.
