Just infront of the lake. Had a nice balcony view. I had the whole dormitory to myself and loved it. Beautiful garden and relaxing atmosphere. Staffs are amazing and breakfast was plentiful.

It was minor but the shared kitchenette is very basic. Just a microwave, kettle and fridge - but better than nothing.

Beautiful place, beautiful people. The hostel was quite busy while I was there and hosts all types of people from solo travellers to large school groups, but I enjoyed the diversity and community. It's close to the train station, it's perfectly clean, the breakfast was amazing and the staff are wonderful people.

Towels are not included, u have to pay 3 franks extra, no soap in the shower, breakfast was so so, many insects at nights in the room.

The staff was rude most of the times. Looked like they are not enjoying their work. Whenever there was a issue we got a standard answer that "we are just 2 people managing this etc." A common kitchen can't be called a Kitchen. It just has one electric kettle, one microwave and a small ~100 ltr refrigerator. They don't have cook top or utensils to cook.

Location of the hostel is awesome. It's on the banks of lake Brienz and 10 mins walk from Brienz Railway Station.

Their helpfulness and genuine interest in ensuring our stay was comfortable truly made a difference. The hostel itself exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were clean, and well-maintained, providing us with a comfortable place to rest after a long day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The beds were comfortable, the common areas were also impressive and cozy offering a great space to relax, socialize, and meet other travelers. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view from the hostel's terrace. Overlooking the stunning Lake Brienz and surrounded by picturesque mountains, it provided the perfect backdrop for enjoying our morning coffee or simply soaking in the tranquility of the area. The location is mesmerizing (right next to Brienzsee). The staff and the hostel setup is quite friendly. The morning breakfast is really good and has a nice variety to it. Highly recommended for overnight stays @Brienz!

The other people in the room. I expected young people like us who want to be social and have fun. Instead they were all boring, grumpy people who went to sleep at 9pm like little children.

The location was very nice. The price was also good for Switzerland. The lake is very beautiful on a sunny day. They have table tennis, table football, paddle boards etc.

The dorm was mixed and when booking there was no mention the dorm had 16 beds and the mattresses are on the floor.

The 16 bed dorm has like 2 charging points which is insane, also the Wi-Fi doesn’t really reach the dorm properly. Normally I’d use the common area but there was a school group staying and I didn’t want to deal with them…

Cute and clean hostel. Free breakfast is a massive plus! Brienz is super cute and having a cheap place to stay is fantastic.
