We booked a sky floor room and the view was amazing! The breakfast buffet was delicious, in particular the okonomiyaki! Having the coin laundry, sauna and Lawson all inside the hotel was incredibly convenient, especially at this price point.

The elevators would get busy around check in and check out times but this is common in hotels of this size!

Perfect location right in the heart of Nagano, friendliest staff, home-like atmosphere, old house with 120 years of history, very clean and nice. Don't expect modern hi-tech here.

Good location close to Matsumoto Station and plenty of restaurants etc. We left our luggage before check-in and walked to the castle etc. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The amenities and services are poor, the staff is not welcoming..overall this is not a 4 stars hotel, not worth the money spent, we stayed at 3 stars hotels in Japan at the same price and they were much much better than this.

Unfortunately people with tattoos are not allowed at the public pool and onsen When I wanted to book a massage and asked if they spoke English, she just said no and hung up
