The hotel tends to be a bit noisy, but that's part of its charm as an older building.

Perhaps only that it is very quiet and a little dark after certain night hours.

Location was a good walking distance to the train - about 10 minutes. Lovely set up, cozy and comfortable. Great staff who welcomed us and even took the time to share with us about the various Christmas markets and popular locations to visit and eat. Also kindly informed us of places to be more weary and careful.

The rooms aren't that soundproof - could hear people walking up and down the stairs and all of the floorboards in the room above creaked.

- more attention to the cleanliness of the bathroom, but it was not a problem, - we had a broken light bulb in the room, but we managed by using the others.

- the staff of the hotel rated 10, let us check-in earlier, - initially we encountered a problem in the first room, because the balcony door did not close properly, being broken. But after we noticed this, our room was changed immediately, - the property was warm, - we were served with biscuits and gummy bears :)

Cannot fault.

The location was great for the Angel and Nicolas Christmas markets and then the public transport to the main areas of Cologne. However, we enjoyed the walking... only 20 mins to the Dom and all through the shopping area. In the other direction was the Belgium quarter. Loved it here, too.

Very spacious clean room with a comfortable bed. Easy walk into the old town and angel Christmas market was seconds from the accomodation. There was also supermarket nearby which was handy. Would stay here again for sure

We were with two little children and the floor was just very creaky (which I usually enjoy) and the door between the main bedroom and the rest of the suite did not keep out a lot of sound. Also, the pictures make it look bigger - the room was still big enough though!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast delicious, the bed comfortable and the shower was lovely as well. Would definitely stay there again!

The only negative was the noise from the 100 year-old wooden floors, which creaked as you walked around so you heard upstairs clearly. However, this is minor and the floors are a great addition to the character of the hotel.

The building over 100 years old and has great character. It is a small family run hotel so it is quite different to your typical hotel. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities required. We opted for breakfast, which was 15 euro per person. It is a vegetarian breakfast with a few options so was nice. Staff were lovely, especially Felix, and were willing to to assist. Rooms had great curtains to block out the light and the shower had good pressure.
