Very good location to see the Northern Lights. You just need a clear sky. Dinner was over expectations. We had 6 activities booked and all went very smoothly. It is not cheap but, as a once in life experience it’s worth the money. I might do it again in 3-4 years.

You had to pay for a code to use the alert app. I didn’t pay for one so apparently missed the Aurora…. Someone did pay for it and it didn’t work properly….. and they missed the Auroara too! This should be included in the price of accommodation. Possibly have an alert in the rooms for people to know when they appear. I was told the direction of the glass roof is often not in the right place and you’d have to go outside at the back of the cabin to see something.

Breakfast and dinner were included in our plan during our stay. Both were very good and dinner can be classified as "fine dining". The best thing for the room was that there were no lights around when we were looking out from the windows and thus could see the Northern Lights even in the room. Toiletries in the rooms were just brilliant. Staff were so helpful. Loved the classic type Finnish sauna.

I cannot come up with something I didn't like from our stay

The restaurant of the hotel was amazing. The food and the people working there. It was a nice surprise, we did know about the activities they offered and the amazing landscape but finishing and starting our days with the meals prepared at the restaurant was a great surprise.

Wow! What a fantastic stay at Aurora Village. Beautiful accommodation and delicious meals. Lots of activities to do. A highlight was the Husky Sledding and the Wood Barrel Sauna/Ice Swim.

The prices for the activities are high. It's easy to arrange activities in the neighborhood though (at least when you have a car, which I would definitely recommend).

No bottled water in the rooms but the tap water was good. Slippers, robes and body lotion or hand cream would be nice considering the price.

The staff were friendly, the location is very pretty and lots of activity options. The cabins were very cosy and very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. It was nice to have coffee and tea on offer. We also loved the traditional sauna and icy lake plunge!

I wish I'd stayed longer....

This was truly a superb stay. This is a family owned business, and they go above and beyond to make sure they can help you. The location is ideal, and I got to see the aurora from my bed. The toiletries are the wonderful Rituals collection. So many amazing amenities.

This place is magical. Everything was perfect. Nestled in the woods in a truly quiet place. There's privacy and mother nature at your doorstep. Beautiful and serene. The accommodations allow you excellent views of the northerm lights all the while feeling there's no one else around you. The private sauna is heaven

We love everything about Aurora Village! Beautiful property and cozy cabin. We couldn’t see aurora, but we enjoyed looking stars while lying down on the bed. A lady at reception was very helpful for finding activities to attend for us, she also arranged take away breakfast for our early checking-out. There is a forest path on the property. It was like walking a winter wonderland!! It’s a very quiet and peaceful place. I highly recommend anyone who is planning to go to Lapland.

Paid Aurora alerts - seemingly free for every other location we searched! We also sadly had terrible weather for our entire stay - but not the fault of the resort at all!!

Beautiful, clean cabins that were just the right size, had a coffee/tea machine, fridge, good heating and were very private. The grounds of the resort were beautiful and we really enjoyed walking the trails. Winter outerwear provided which was fantastically warm and great for those travelling without heavy duty winter clothing. Activities were fairly reasonably priced considering - highly recommend the panoramic sauna and outdoor spa. Cosy restaurant with fire place, tea/coffee available all day, and wonderful included meals. Breakfast was varied and fresh, and dinners were 3 course and delicious. Service was lovely and overall we highly recommend Aurora village. By far the best of all the cabins/igloos I researched.
