halls were a bit dark. maybe because it was already night time when i arrived but all is good just a little spooky as it looks like it was previously a hospital of sort.

Clean room, location is very close to the ferry if you are going to take the Victoria ferry. The other ferry station is on the other side of the city so have to take a cab or tram. There's also a bar or eatery so you can have a place to hangout for the night.

This is only a 30minute walk from the train station and is located perfectly along the dock/harbour. It’s clean,comfy and when I stayed in April nice and quiet. The bathrooms are fantastic with complimentary forest bird sounds. I stayed in a 3 bed female dorm and it was a very very decent size,also no bunk beds,woooohoooo. Staff are lovely especially Welma (dog) and Robert. Really pleasant to chat to and welcoming.

Bathroom : inconfortable smell even if it seemed clean, and the cabin are so small if the place is full you can be sure that everybody in the room will see you naked… Breakfast « kinda overpriced » for what it is but at least that’s a cheap option, so mid point more than a negative one

The bathrooms were not so clean.

The hostel is located a short tram ride from the city centre or even walking. The bedroom was simple but comfortable. Linen and towels, morning sauna for free. We paid 11.90 for the buffet breakfast which is a fair price, considering the high costs of Helsinki. The 24-hour reception is also handy if you are planning to arrive late.

Everything was almost perfect. However, the kitchen space lacked some essentials for cooking, such as oil, salt, and pepper (I can't imagine myself buying oil, salt, or pepper for just a few days and then packing them in my little suitcase to take back home...). It would be a good idea to also have a spot for storing non-refrigerated items. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but being European and having access to my data, it wasn't a problem for me.

The shower was awful, it couldn't be moved so it was hanging way lower than my head was, not made to consider tall people. It also triggered sensor based so every time I tried to crouch to get my hair clean the shower would turn off, it would also just randomly turn off every bunch of seconds by me moving around and applying soap for example. The water pressure was so high and I couldn't find a way to adjust it so it just blasted into my back. Don't expect to have a good shower here. The bathroom stalls also didn't lock. There was some serious greenwashing going on with statements everywhere about saving energy and how they're 100% green, yet most of the bulbs I saw were old and not LED. Don't greenwash. The linnen we got for our room was frankly kinda dusty and everything was just not super clean. The hostel seems like it was super nice in the 90s and kept bringing in revenue so except for minor repairs everything has just been decaying to a point where soon people will start being less satisfied and I hope they do address some of those issues because the property seems like it could be really nice, also stop greenwashing!

The room was spacious and the check-in and checkout went really fast and smooth, the hostel has more facilities than on average such as a sauna and breakfast (didn't make use of it). We stayed in a private twin room with a shared bathroom and the value we got for being so close to Helsinki center is amazing. There's public transport right outside but I recommend doing a nice walk into town.

Staff were so friendly especially the reception staff, the only memeber of staff we had a bad experience with was the lady at breakfast. So stroppy when I asked for more coffee and it wasnt like we were late it was smackbang in the middle of service

As a solo female traveller I really enjoyed how quiet the room was and how guests were all respectful of each other in shared spaces. Location was excellent due to easy access to trams. Overall felt very safe and comfortable.

It would be nicer if the lounge for travellers were a little bigger! It was very small and unaccommodating! Also, a free little salt and pepper would be nice if you offer for people to cook. Like I don’t want to buy a bottle of S&P and only be used for a day!

It was all perfect! I came in Helsinki with the ferry late at night... so 4 me It was perfect located...and the tram close to the hostel It was really easy to take to go to the citycenter.

The kitchen closes quite early. There could be a teapot with cups or glasses in the room.

The best advantage is the location, it’s right next to the harbour. There are many nearby attractions and grocery stores. The room was quite clean. It’s also possible to drink free hot water, that’s a big plus. Music in the bathroom is very peaceful and it was clean and cozy there.

We kinda had a feeling that a room wasn’t fully cleaned, maybe because of scuffed walls. Also beds were hard and room kinda cold in the morning. The towels we got weren’t really clean, you could see stains on them. Showers weren’t totally practical. They had no hook for your clothes or towels and water intervals were really short. Kinda annoying when you were taking a shower.

Check in and check out we’re really simple, without any complications. The room was overall ok. Enough room for all the stuff and moving around, good view on the surrounding. We had to put on a duvet cover by ourselves, weren’t bothered about that. The pleasant surprise was the bathroom. Really clean, specially for a shared one. Plus point also goes to saunas, except you have be careful, they are free only in the morning, if you want to use them in the evening, you have to pay extra. Location is great. The grocery and alcohol store are really close, great public transport connections and located in an interesting part of a city.
