We had a bed and sofa cum bed for two adults and a child. Bed was smaller for two normal sized adults (Husband 182 cm and wife 167 cm). Felt little cramped. There is absolutely no cupboard in the cottage , so all the clothes ( outdoors and indoors) have to be hanged on the hooks. It is also a bit difficult if staying for a longer duration. Would highly appreciate it if one can be added to the cottage.

Peace and serenity. Wooden Sauna was extremely good. Location for sure, just besides the lake , perfect for viewing Northern lights ( when it comes)🤞 The kitchen is fully equipped with all sorts of kitchen appliances. Plus, kudos to the owners for keeping lots of basic items ( left by fellow travelers) already available for others to use. Towels, toiletries, bedsheets, pillow all in abundance. Owners were a message away. Feeding the Reindeers was an extremely unique experience for us. We took pick up and drop off service from the owners, very handy. As the van takes us to shopping before we reach the cottage. Highly recommended and we will surely visit again.

Nothing really. If being very picky I might say that one newer frying pan would be great but it was manageable without as well.

We loved absolutely everything. Somebody elase here said “home away from home”. One only needs clothes and laptop and can easily live there for a year without actually needing anything.

We loved the cosy cabin and very comfortable bed. Everything was immaculately clean! Plenty of wood for the fireplace and sauna. We booked the hottub for both nights. It was so nice, but very expensive. However, it was a treat to ourselves for our wedding anniversary. We will definitely return to stay here again.

The views from this chalet are out of this world. Such a peaceful place. I would recommend this place to everyone. The owners were very responsive and able to help us with things we wanted to do and see. I couldn't say a bad word about this place.

- Be aware that a bathroom is colocated with a sauna. You have to go outside across the porch (2 foot steps) to reach it from the main room. It did not affect our stay at all, just be prepared.

- Extraordinary location, easy to reach by car (~1 hour drive from Rovaniemi). Main roads are well-maintained, the final road is cleaned by the family with their amazing tractor. - Gorgeous nature with a forest around the house on one side and a lake shore on the other. We skied across the lake and reached wild woods on the other side. - Extremely private and quiet location. Perfect for stargazing and aurora hunting. Yet the hosts are nearby if needed. - Great facilities: ski rental, snowmobile rental, their own reindeer farm. Talk to the hosts about a reservation. - Kitchen stocked with everything. Oil, salt, coffee, utensils, pots and pans are all abundantly present. - True Finnish sauna in a separate cubicle attached to the house. Wood fireplace in the house. Wood is provided for the whole stay.

Very little not to like. About an hour's drive from Rovaniemi on fairly perilous roads in winter, but that's the price for being away from the hustle and bustle!

Incredible cottage with great amenities. Comfy, private, quiet, accessible (be it far). Situated at a lake, which allowed us to see the northern lights clearly and with minimal light pollution on two nights of our stay! Staff were very kind and accommodating. Will definitely come back next winter!

Lovely place to stay - To start the scenery and location is incredible, lovely secluded place which is homey and cosy yet spacious at the same time. The owners were lovely, with great communication and local knowledge. They had set the beds up as two doubles for both couples and they were really comfortable. The owners provided lots of information and were on hand to answer any questions or queries. The place was extremely warm throughout our stay and very comfortable - would 100/10 recommend. Feeding and seeing the reindeers on our last day was another amazing highlight that they offered! We all left not wanting to leave :) Additionally, the property had everything you'd need to cook etc (lots of utensils) which made cooking a breeze!

Absolutely everything. The location is breathtaking by the lake, in the middle of a beautiful forest, you only see something like this in movies. I couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was and the chalet is absolutely gorgeous, has everything you might need and extremely clean. This is a perfect location if you are a family with children and just want to relax. My son loved playing outside and I could see him while in the house. The host is phenomenal as well, I called for some directions very late at night and she was so nice and accommodating. We are looking to return next year for a longer period of time.

It is not a drive for the faint of heart especially when it is snowing but then again you can’t get the solitude and quiet without a good drive. So stock up with food before heading out.

It was as described and remote and quite and wonderful. We saw the Northern Lights which was amazing. The breakfast was traditional and the Host was very generous helping us with laundry.

Unbeatable location, very easy to find, and really caring and sweet staff who went above and beyond to help us out with everything we needed. Saw the northern lights twice, fed reindeers, and enjoyed total peace and quiet. The chalet was very cosy and very well insulated. The frozen lake was magical to walk on.

We stayed one night in Villa Honka and would totally recommend staying here. The villa is big (3 double bedrooms) and has an amazing sauna that leads directly to the exterior of the villa. The villa is located next to a lake so the views are also amazing. The tranquility and silence of the place is just magical. Also, Jaana was very communicative and friendly. We got our car stupidly stuck in the snow and her brother was there in no time to help us tow the car. Thank you Jaana!
