Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyThe light in the entrance of the aurora huts were automatic. So when you walk in front of them it lights up and off after sometime which causes high light and effects to see the northern lights negatively. One of the aurora huts entrance light was defective, so didn’t off.
Sauna booking in advance is required. The staff was good.

FinlandI'd definitely recommend to friends. Personnel was kind and explained all details. Huts are super comfortable. Some services that are included surprised me like the taxi to the center of the city at dinner time, private sauna 1hr and a cute lamp for walking around at night. Breakfast have good quality products and delicious pullas.

United StatesThe huts look new and are very nice. We unfortunately didn't see the Northern Lights well because of clouds. It's nice to have a car if you stay here because you can go into town easily for snow hiking, snowmobiles, shopping, and restaurants. The breakfast was very good. The reindeer rides are probably better for children because the guide walks alongside the reindeer. I was hoping that we'd go faster, but it was beautiful and fun to get close to the reindeer.

United KingdomJust that it was quite expensive in a taxi to get to Levi. The free dinner service bus is great but with it being only in the evening you have to get taxis in the day or drive

We really enjoyed our stay even if we couldn't see aurora borealis because of cloudy weather. The hut was clean and big enough. There was an extra electric heater in case of cold.

NetherlandsIf you want to go outside for the aurora or for stargazing, the motion sensor will turn on a bright light. Also our cottage could have been cleaner.
If you are lucky to see the northern lights, this is truly the best place to see them. We stayed up from 2 to 5 am because we could view the aurora through the huge windows while staying warm. The huts are modern and well equipped.

SwitzerlandBad communication from Levi Northern Lights Huts as we had made a reservation at the restaurant for New Year's Eve (we were arriving late on that day) and it was closed. It was due to illness, so unplanned, but an email to let us know would have been needed. Location is remote, and it was quite late to find a restaurant in Levi. We were given some noodles...The next day a (complimentary) taxi was organized for us to go eat in Levi, so much better on the 2nd niight.
Very nice huts, great location and very nice breakfast

BelgiumThe hut "design" was not great. The beds didn't have a headboard and couldn't be pushed against the wall, either, so not good for reading. The bathroom light is automatic and very bright, bothering the 2nd person when one uses the bathroom at night. There was a water cooker and a small fridge, but little else in terms of equipment. Impossible to take a shower without wetting the entire bathroom floor. Breakfast ok but not great taking into account the rate paid.
Nice concept, clean "hut", felt "new", bed was comfortable, quiet location, good atmosphere

United KingdomI was a little surprised to find a shower and hair dryer that you had to keep pressing the buttons on to get them to work. It reminded me of the facilities at a public swimming pool but I guess it's more environmentally friendly and stops idiots leaving them on. Some small pots of long life milk in the drink making facilities are needed. Luckily we read the reviews so bought our own. A lot of the reviews seemed negative but I think this is because the website perhaps needs updating a little. The hosts were actually very accommodating when asked but perhaps for the price it would be better if things like the taxi were clearly mentioned x
Good contact from the hosts when I had questions. The hut was lovely and comfortable and was so peaceful. I asked about transport to town for evening meal as the restaurant is actually closed and it was free of charge and organised for us which was great. We also had to check out earlier than the advertised breakfast so we could catch our flight and we were invited in for an early breakfast when they were setting up for service which was lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay - I wish it could have been for longer x

GermanyThe bathroom light is movement control, so you don't have the option to not turn it on. This wouldn't be a big problem if turning it on wouldn't make so much noise, indicating to everyone in the hut that you are awake and using the bathroom. During the whole night something kept turning on and off and that made noise also. It's not loud enough to make the stay unpleasant, but something that could be improved.
Sleeping in one of the huts with glass ceiling is a magical experience! Staff is really friendly and helpful. They really put an effort to make your stay enjoyable.

Easy to find with the directions provided, the hut was very warm , heated floors as well , clean , there is a button that after you press it , the ice that is on the glass part melts so you can have an even better view. We were 3 people and felt very comfortable .Breakfast is nice and people are friendly.
