Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FinlandI stayed in the 6th floor - some noise from the highway but it did not disturb me, I slept well. The wall paintings are not my taste - but ok.
Location is super in case you travel by train, and have a meeting near the hotel. I had an event in the Joki Visitor and Innovation Centre, and did not even need to go outdoors from the hotel to the conference site. Staff was very friendly, and the restaurant downstairs is pleasant for a dinner and conversation. They also have a cafe by the reception. The room was spacious. Breakfast was good.

AustriaIn the lobby and cafe area, the staff didn’t clear the used dishes from the tables very quickly, maybe because there was not enough personnel. Another slight discomfort was that the temperature in the common areas felt a little cool, but it was probably because I come from a warmer country and was not used to it yet.
Location is great for work trips to the nearby science and business centres. The train station is under the hotel so reaching Helsinki from there is easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and immediately attended to my needs and questions like adjusting the room temperature. Great breakfast.

Lots of dirty plates on the tables, some food ran out, food was on the table and tables were generally dirty (place where picking up the food) and some food was not properly prepared (e.g. 7 mins boiled eggs turned out to be totally raw). Price through booking.com was much higher than if directly booked through Sokos hotel web pages.

The rooms are great, providing anything you can possibly need. Even though the train station is next door you cannot hear anything. Breakfast was great, with a lot of variety. Coffee could have been better, e.g., have machines that provide also espresso coffee. The staff were very friendly and attended to anything I asked for. The roof bar is the best part of this hotel. The view, the drinks and the staff were great.

FinlandI sent a message via booking to let the hotel know my arrival time. This was not answered at all, which would be a polite thing to do for a traveling customer, especially when arriving later during evening. At the reception they also did not find my reservation until I showed my booking email. It could be that priority is given to those bookings that come through their own website or system. The prices of the pizzas considering the size of them is very finnish and thus very overpriced from the hotel’s Deli, but the chance to get them still just before 23:00 was good. The tablet in the room did not work, not that I needed it. A kettle was provided which was great, but only some cream powder and not the kind of usual hotel milk. All the soaps and such in the bathroom were with birch tree scent which might be annoying or even rash giving for those allergic to birch trees. The room was located right opposite the elevators and everytime the doors opened or closed the air got sucked or pushed in and out of my room which meant the room’s door, while not opening, kept moving and making a noise. Late evening I asked at the reception if there are ticket machines at the trainstation right next to the hotel. I was told there are when one goes to the platform. Yet the ticket machines actually were right on the same level of the station as the hotel reception is. I think it would be good if the hotel that is right next and above the railway station would be aware also where the train ticket machines actually are located. It was not a major issue as I could easily go and check it. Breakfast starts at 6:30 am , so missing the earliest trains.
Modern spacious room with a fridge and a big tv. Also a tablet to contact room service etc, but it did not work. There was also a kettle in the room. The locations of the hotel for the Kupittaa train station is fantastic.
