I don't think there was anything I didn't like, other than I wish that I had booked the room with the sea view. Maybe they could add into their description that they can cater for a vegan breakfast, as I wasn't sure if I was going to be having toast or what actually turned out to be a full breakfast.

I loved the decor...a mixture of styles, but my favourite was the Victorian-esque plant-fest which is very fitting for this building. The staff were down to earth and friendly, and I was delighted how they unexpectedly accommodated a great meat-free breakfast for me. The room was super comfy and warm, and had everything we could need including a kettle and refrigerator. I will definitely stay again, and will pay the small amount extra for the room with the sea view to make the most of Avarest's great location; a two minute walk from the train station and the sea.

The house, the view, the location, DAWN! What was there not to like?! Breakfast was delicious too. And, we got parked right outside! Could not have asked for more.

only bad thing was that my door was left open slightly after cleaner was in which was a bit worrying as i had valuables in there but that's the only negative thing i can say!!

Absolutely nothing!

Excellent breakfast! Congratulations to the cook for a super meal and presentation was exceptional. Although our room was small and didn’t have a sea view it was more than compensated by its “coziness” and very comfortable bed. The house had a lovely friendly feel with a most inviting sitting/dining area and the host left you with the feeling that you had known her your whole life. We will be back! Thanks Avarest!”

Staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful! It was my birthday and I received chocolates as well as a room upgrade with a stunning sea view.
