How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The servers on the bar side were not knowledgeable about the menu and were slow to help. The two times I went there I had to wait for anyone to serve me and then it felt like I was forgotten because I didn’t order alcohol. Other than that everything was great.
The breakfast was delicious and the accommodations were lovely. Great walking distance to everything and close for access to excursions. The front desk was super helpful and answered any questions I had. Thank you for making my stay in Belfast so enjoyable.

I booked online through a booking agency. I was booked into a room on 5th floor without agreement. That was expensive. When I arrived I asked to be relocated to 1st floor and that was done. Whenever I asked about a reduction in charge I was given some vouchers . It was not clear at the finish exactly how much the reduction was. That's the only sour note that I have.
Location good, ( Near the railway station) Breakfast good, plenty of variety especially for me who is vegetarian. Staff were polite and friendly 🙂.

The seats in the bar and the breakfast room were a bit worn and uncomfortable but fine and the hot water in the room was not really hot enough to make use of the bath in the room. Also there was no bottled water and for water you had to use the mains supply.
The hotel was great value compared to Dublin and it is in the centre down the road from the Europa hotel with Value car park next door. We drove and it was particularly handy. The room was overlooking a service yard but with the window closed I didn't hear any noise and had a good night's sleep in a clean comfortable bed. My stay included breakfast and it was a buffet with options for meat and vegetarians lovers. Breakfast is 6.30 to 10am with check out at 11am.

Taking some drinks to my room the lift doors closed on my hand causing the glass I was holding to shatter. The bar staff were very attentive cleaning the area replaced my drink however neglected to check if I was ok . I felt like a bit of an inconvenience to be honest .

Not enough veggie meals when having dinner in the hotel
Location of the hotel is central to everything. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel looks fantastic. My fiancé and I had a fantastic time and we really enjoyed our breakfast. Great variety of food

Breakfast wasn't great as it seemed like the hot stuff had been out for a while and the croissants were underbaked (doughy).

Carpet could do with a good clean and flush on the toilet ran continually which made it noisy.
Excellent staff who did everything they could to make our stay more comfortable. Nice touches like offering a breakfast bag when we booked an early taxi to the airport. They didn’t have to be asked.

The first night the noise of people screaming running up and down corridor said at reception they said sorry and it should be better tonight but it was worse I did say at check out but the man wasn't bothered and I had an early check out so nobody there to help
