Room wasn't very well maintained: the safe didn't work and the shower was blocked up which meant that when we had a normal shower the bathroom flooded, and on the second day the flood went through to the main bedroom and even soaked the carpet.

Really relaxed, comfortable, attention to detail, excellent food, very good spa.

The pavilion area where the wedding was held was lovely but very very cold The bedrooms were too hot and the corridor carpets looked like they needed a good hoover and clean

Couldn't get in the restaurant at 8.30pm even though they open until 9 because I hadn't booked. There were loads of free tables so can only presume the chef was on his own or something.

I did not like the fact that any item I order I have to paid a service charge. Bring order items in the rooms with a charge is not a problem but ordering and waiting in the bar and still be giving service charges. ( it should be a choice) The Gym needs to be modernise.

Upon booking I requested an early check in and booked a twin room and these requests were not acknowledged until we arrived so the room was not ready early and was a king instead of twin so that needed sorting. The room was also very basic for the price paid in comparison to other hotels I've stayed at, and could do with a thorough dust and revamp.

The spa facilities were lovely and the staff were extremely friendly.

Stayed in Bluebelle - upon walking into the room there was a distinct food smell, I think the vent for the kitchens must be nearby and there was also a little noise in the room. It started in the information that bathrobes are available in the rooms. Upon checking with reception it’s only in spa rooms but that isn’t clear in the information guide. For £135 a night for a room it was quite expensive. Didn’t have breakfast as £18.95 for continental also over priced!

Rooms were not very clean, a lot of flies in the main room and bathroom. There were squashed flies over the walls from previous guests. Food was good but starters very over priced as were some of the drinks, like the mocktails. £16 for 2 scallops. I’d also reconsider staying here if you struggle with stairs as our room was directly at the top of a steep staircase. Staff also give conflicting information.

There were a few parts of the hotel and spa that were a little tired and needed redecorating or replacing. Personally, I found that the bed was too soft. But I know some people prefer that.

Our break was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and polite. They all greeted us whenever they saw us and always had a smile on there face. We were given an upgrade to our room.

Spa area and pools should be kept open later and the pools could be warmer temperature The sheets in the room were clean but could see a lot of wear and tares with a few stains on them I would say slightly overpriced for 1 night at £185 but I would give it a second chance I would try the hotel again It just needs a little tweeking

Access by phone to reception on first night when a noisy neighbour required being spoken to would have been helpful. Instead I needed to dress and go down to reception to make hotel aware.

Room and breakfast were excellent. Would have preferred phone line access to reception from the room. Otherwise the staff were excellent and helpful. The lounge bar and restaurant were very helpful, convenient and comfortable.

Small bin in bathroom had not been emptied before our arrival. Main courses at dinner were disappointing -I have a sea food allergy and was therefore not able to choose either fish meals on the menu as both involved shell fish of some sort .

All Staff excellent, friendly and helpful . Lovely room due to upgrade! Comfy bed! Pleasant environment/grounds Good breakfast Candles created good ambience and gentle jazz in the bar made for a relaxing experience.

My only real gripe was the lack of soundproofing, meaning I could hear everything going on above and to the side of us.

Beautiful, idyllic hotel in a very remote location. Room was a good size and the bed was so comfortable you didn't want to get out of it in the morning! Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely hotel and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I had 2 bookings which made things a bit confusing but the team sorted it out without any fuss, would definitely stay again if I am in the area.
