“Staff and above all manager very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Tried to make my stay pleasant and were very supportive all the time. Excellent fruit juices and breakfast at the restaurant. Did not try other food there, but the restaurant seems quite popular also with locals. Rooms clean and equipped with all the amenities one needs. Mullaitivu is quite off the beaten track. I enjoyed the laid-back and relaxed vibes with the beach belonging mostly to fishermen, mussel collectors and ... cows. This is a completely different setting compared to the tourist ressorts on the West and South coast. You will be safe from touts offering tours, Tuktuk rides, massages and all that kind of stuff. Some may like that, others won't - just to let you know what you are up to. The town's centre (actually just a strip of a couple of hundred metres along two or three main streets), where you will also find small local restaurants, can be reached via a 10-15 minutes walk along the beach or on the road. Watch the stars at night sitting on one of the boats put upside down at the beach!”

“As a cycle tourist, this is not the type of place I would normally stay...choices around here are thin on the ground around here, so I think it's the only realistic option in the area. It is a wonderful tranquil place, cabanas are super comfortable, food is excellent, and there is a nice, clean beach if that's your thing. Note, there are few amenities in the area, so make sure you bring everything you need.”
