Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaBreakfast and lunch options. Friday lunch could be more traditional menu rather than wraps. Staff can be more efficient and fast with breakfast. Have the buffet ready.
Avondale boutique hotel is a good basic stop over type of hotel. Beautiful rooms comfortable bathrooms. Basic amenities found in the room. Friendly staff. With regards to meals and breakfast dnt expect anything to fancy. Its not ready and available for you. It takes the staff forever to prepare anything you ask for. If you are in a hurry make sure you give them your order an hr or two earlier. Kitchen staff are very slow. Tea took 20 mins to come. Parking is excellent. Make sure you ask for the porter service to take you upstairs. With our booking we had massages which we didn't know about and no one informed us of it while we stayed there so we never got any treatments done. The staff should have informed us so we knew we could have those massages. Check while you there because staff dnt let you know. A good stay good location.

The hotel overall is exceptional and the staff very friendly. We had freshly squeezed orange juice as a welcome drink which was very refreshing in the Durban heat. I liked the extra touch of the traditional hotel etiquette of an evening turn up of the room which was finished off with la roche chocolate. That was a nice touch and a surprise. Hotel is very close to good reastuarents in the area and Musgrave shopping mall. Breakfast was very good and generous and Sphe's services in the restuarant was exceptional. She is an asset indeed.

Well located, close to vibrant Florida Rd (lots of food options) as well as an easy drive to the beachfront. As the property was not busy the check-in staff allowed me to choose a convenient room. I think all rooms have a balcony and the breeze is welcome in humid Durban. Air-con also in each room. Safe parking and very friendly staff (all staff that we interacted with).

South AfricaI did not like the room i got because it was right infront of the reception area and I requested for the a room with a balcony and I got an response that says my request was approved but when I got there i didn't receive it. The air conditioning was only producing cold air and I needed some heater since it was a cold day.
The room was clean and cosy. It's located in good place that is near restaurant and clubs.
