Would have loved the pool to be heated but not a real problem.

Everything was excellent. Could not fault anything. Close to the centre of town and just a cheap Uber anywhere. The manager Karin really made us feel at home. She was wonderful. We loved the place.

From the minute we arrived we loved this place. Immaculate…beautiful and friendly. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast every morning was was was well presented and good choices. The free afternoon cake was delicious…especially the chocolate cake. If your visiting Cape Town would highly recommend this lovely little hotel for your stay.

I think in a hot country like South Africa a fridge is a must in ones room , not one to share with other guests . Also tea making facilities in our room would have been appreciated.

It was cosy and comfy and happy. The staff is caring and proud and professional. The beds are amazing, the property gorgeous. I did not have the opportunity to evaluate the area as we were not there long enough. The breakfast was incredible. Did I mention the staff? Amazing!

That we had to leave!

Could not fault the service! Room and food were excellent! Location was excellent and ubers can easily reach it. A security guard sat outside the hotel in the evening and overnight, and made sure we got out taxis safely. Godfrey, Karin, Robin and Mimi are a credit to the hotel industry. Never have we been greeted so warmly as weary travellers. They all took the time to introduce themselves and were on first name terms with their guests by day 2! I would recommend this place to anyone going to South Africa.

This is an absolute gem ! Felt welcome , comfortable , well supported , safe . Small , but absolutely beautiful . The most friendly of staff ever ! Nothing was too much trouble , they all made our stay very special . Great breakfast , pretty well kept courtyard garden with pool , comfortable loungers - even put out selection of sun creams to use . Free upgrade to fabulous suite . Very Early check in accommodated to coordinate with U.K. flight (which arrived Caoe Town at 8:30 am ) Can’t wait to return , thank you !

Unfortunately the cleanliness was the main issue for us. Especially bed (although the sheets were clean) the duve was stained which was very uncomfortable. The room was rather older overall and did not feel that clean in general.

Amazing service by the staff, very warm and welcoming. Overall value for money was good and selection of gins on the bar was nice. The atmosphere of the building is very nice.

This is a true BNB hotel - not the place to come if you want a hotel with a party vibe. That’s not what we were looking for, but good to note if that’s what you want.

We had an incredible stay at the blackheath lodge in Cape Town. Central location to other neighborhoods on Cape Town, good quality breakfast, small pool area is serene - but the best part of our stay here was the service. The concierge team (Robyn and Riano) went above and beyond to help us plan our trip, providing us with recommendations for tours, restaurants - whatever we needed. They go the extra mile to ensure that every moment of your stay is comfortable and that you have everything you need. Thank you, Robyn and Riano!

The stay was to short!

This is a small hidden gem in the city! From the minute we stepped into the Lodge, we got warmly welcome even with an arrival after midnight. Karin and the team are the best possible hosts you can ever imagine. The Villa we stayed in, THANK YOU for the upgrade, was large enough to throw a party in and greatly designed. For those of you who enjoy breakfast, you get it all.
