The bedrooms... Too much light from the passage reflects in the bedroom which makes it difficult to sleep at night.

Unfortunately our room did not have any view. We therefore made use of the hotel balcony. There were many families at the hotel with small children. It was a pity that one or two of the parents did not keep some of their children under more control during the evening meal.

Check in was very easy and staff very helpful with the baggage. All meals were excellent with plenty of choice and more than enough food. Staff were all very friendly. We participated in one complementary guided walk and the guide was excellent. The scenery surrounding the hotel is excellent.

Mat on the floors , my kids suffer from sinus . Towels can be replaced with fresh and softer ones.

Ideal setting to explore the hills. The executive suite was gorgeous and had a phenomenal view. Although the interior of the hotel itself is dated, it is more than made up for by the friendly staff. The food is varied and caters for all. We had a private guided hike with Sakhile up Cathedral Peak, he was a fantastic guide and it was a very memorable hike.

The hotel is comfortable and has a relaxed and friendly feel to it. The team is excellent, attentive and accommodate any request. Guided walks were fantastic and so was the horse riding. I didn't travel with kids but kids club looked great and was always attended with staff members. Spa treatments were also excellent. Food choice was incredible and the team made a special effort to accommodate my healthy eating requests, which I really appreciated.

The steam room was a little daggy and unwelcoming, so we decided not to use it. The pool table in Harry’s bar was broken. Then some very minor issues: the hot and cold were switched around on the taps. The hairdryer was a bit small and underpowered.

Stunning location right in the mountains. The private honeymoon suite was outstanding. It was a separate, spacious bungalow furnished in a luxurious African style with sliding doors leading onto a private patio that faced the mountains. We could lie outside on loungers or lie in bed and look onto the uninterrupted view of the mountains. The room had a private bathroom with bath and shower, a dressing room, desk, lounge area, fridge and coffee/tea facilities. All were spotlessly clean and of a very high standard. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming and the food! The food was so delicious. There wasn’t a single meal I didn’t like, and they made all our favourite desserts! We had a lovely Swedish massage at the Wellness Centre which left us feeling very relaxed.

The hiking was amazing and all the activities covered - we were exhausted by the choice! Will definitely come back as the atmosphere was so much fun. Much more like a 'resort' or 'retreat' than just a hotel.

The fact that the smart casual dress code for dinner was not enforced. Some came to dinner very scruffily dressed and were not reminded.

Food excellent and chefs and dining room staff fabulous. Room great - had all I needed with a fantastic view. Hiking guide Mandla - excellent - loved the coffee on the mountain!

Really exceptional! What a wonderfull place. We had a lovely time staying with Marie. The nature surrounding is just amazing. From the lodge there are multiple walking routes with lovely views! And we even saw some zebra's.
