How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The lady put away the dished that I washed into the cabinets every morning and serviced the house even on Sunday and the whole of Easter weekend.
I was really impressed with all of the staff members they really did their best to give us a wonderful stay. It was better than I have expected.

Everything was perfect, no complaints.
Everything was so beautiful, neat, clean, the lady that we dealt with Cindy, was an absolute delight, showed us around, made sure we where comfortable, told us of the things to do in the area, beautiful place, lovely staff, I will recommend them over and over. I'm very happy with my stay.

Parking is a small issue. But it’s worth it for the stay.
The place was so clean. Everything worked. It was so peaceful and quiet. Had no issues and had an amazing time. Braai facility was really nice with good privacy.

nothing, everything was excellent!
Everything was great, definitely exceeded our expectations. Staff was great, reception kept us updated on loadshedding, how everything works, like gate & the air-con, etc., as well as assisted with info. on activities. Cleaning ladies were wonderful, kept our unit spick & span very quickly and very friendly.

Can't think of anything!
A clean, comfortable self-catering duplex with private Braai and sitting area. Three showers, two toilets and a bath. Access to a clean and reasonably sized shared pool which is ideal for kids. Great location for the centre of town. No noise issues.

Parking is a bit tight. Some units have garages and some have undercover/open parking. If you have a bigger vehicle it can be very tight in the garages, so maybe request a unit with an open parking.
Our chalet was very comfortable and clean, it had everything we needed. Main bedroom has an air conditioner that you load units on. R50 was more than adequate for our three night stay. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs with a bath and shower and another bathroom downstairs with a shower. Our unit was close to the pool and play area but still private. (Units 2 to 7 are around the pool area and play area.) Pool area is stunning and securley fenced off. The property is equipped with inverters so you have lights and TV during load shedding. The staff kept us up to date with the schedule and messaged us with any changes. Perna Perna is very close to town and we were able to take a easy walk to the shops and restaurants. Felt very safe and secure. The staff, Cindy and Debbie were friendly and very helpful. Our unit was cleaned daily and we enjoyed our stay there.

We had a lovely stay and I’m happy that we got a room that has a smart TV, so we were able to watch our favourite series on Netflix. The receptionist was very friendly and we even checked out a bit late and she had no issue with that.

The only negative I have about the place is the ants.. There was ants all over the place. Ants were on the counter top so having a meal became a problem, even after you wipe the counter top, you'll still find ants crawling again..
Place is awesome.. The unit was very comfortable, was very impressed.. Felt like home. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely a place to come back to.

Perfect located in town. Though the duplexes are connected to one another, they build them in such a way you don't hear the neighbors and you feel like having your own private little home. I loved the balcony and the patio.

The pool wasn't so clean,looks like it is not properly cleaned we expected to be clean since we went for a swim in the morning

There was an aircon unit in main bedroom (as advertised) but you have load credit on it (not explianed in the bookkng). Luckly our unit still had credit from the previous guest. 50r a token (uses approx 10r per night)
The appartment was amazing. Everything you need. Lots of space. Lovely room and balcony. Very good braai area.
