The phone was not working. I had to use my phone every time I wanted to call reception or go downstairs. One of the nights electricity kept tripping, and there was no explanation or solution to the problem, just apologies.

The Pentehouse was clean and beautiful. It was spacious for my family. The view is amazing. The staff were amazing, from receptionist, Porters to Ausi Rose who was cleaning our room

Almost every furniture is old and outdated. The shortage of towels, the hygiene of almost the entire hotel has dropped except for floor 5.

The location, the sea view as well as the cleanliness of the apartment. I really appreciate the effort of the reception lady named Nokwazi/Nolwazi we spoke to on the Sunday around 16h00, when we checked in. She went out of her way to accommodate us when we indicated that we were not happy with the size of our initial room. She went out of her and secured an apartment which was more of our own home as the booking was for 6 days. Myself and my wife, we say thank to her, she must keep up the good work.

there was a funny smoke like smell in the bathroom as if someone had been smoking in there but i know the rooms are non-smoking rooms. the smell was there for the duration of my stay, so it is probably something else and not cigarette. worth it for you to check it out.

The highlight for me was the very friendly and helpful staff, Nokholiwe ( I think is her name) and Palesa were exceptional in their service. as a Deaf person, they ensured that i received all the assistance i required, sharing with me their cell numbers so i could reach them via WhatsApp since i would not have been able to use the in-room telephone. this assisted immensely for me to gain access to services and most especially to ensure my safety as opposed to the usual practice of leaving my door ajar when i order room service for example, they communicated via WhatsApp with me to inform me when the waiter was coming up. this was awesome and i am thankful for this type of service. in addition, they would WhatsApp me in the morning and evening just to check if everything was still okay with me and my stay. talk about excellent service. these ladies were exceptional.

Facilities, though clean, are a bit dated. Not a safe walk to the CBD (must take Uber).

The property is in an excellent location for beach and restaurants. Short walk left or right and lots to choose from on the beach promenade. Delicious on site restaurant. Short walk to grocery store and pharmacy. Very safe before dark to walk around the area. Friendly and helpful staff. Great value for the money.

The noise of the Aircon next door made it difficult to sleep at night The cleaning stuff schedule was VERY inconveniencing. At some point our room wasn't cleaned and we were told the cleaners' time was up and she had to go. The couch in the living room needs to be changed.

The spa treatment was absolutely great. It was amazing that it's just in the building. The restaurant downstairs and the fact that they offered room service was very convenient...we also liked that theu opened the door between our rooms so that we and the kids could feel like we were just in one house....

I do not like the location and it is not safe to walk alone at night in the area.

The staff was really friendly and helpfull. I have stayed at The Palace a few times now and the staff knows me. The Restaurant serves very good meals and the room service is very quick with orders. There is safe under roof parking.

I did not like the following; 1.The tvs are too small. In 2023 a hotel cannot have 32 inch tvs that have poor image quality 2.The TV bouquet is very very limited and needs a better package 3. Furniture like the dining need updating 4. The shower is not suited for a big guy. Only my wife could fit n I fear how I would have managed considering I had a non refundable payment but luckily the tub was available. Most hotels these days have large showers have a look into that to get into the modern times 5. The beds are small and the springs in the middle where finished to the point that we kept sliding to the middle with my wife. 6. The issue of staff knocking once and then entering with their key card is a bit disrespectful. They must wait till one says come in or let them wait for the guest to open. 7. The door lock did not work and we did not feel 100% safe at night considering thr high volume of traffic that the hotel experiences.

I liked that we where right by the beach and secondly the price was competitive for a 1 bed unit.
